Hi! Me again 😃

So I am teaming up with to organize an outreach at the homeless camp. There’s a few good spots that other ministries or agencies go to feed the homeless or provide other assistance. We will set up pop up tents and people will come to us. We are planning on giving away hygiene kits, hand sanitizer and face masks. So...if anyone would like to sew some masks for us, we would be so appreciative. If you are local and need fabric to make the masks, let me know and I can supply you the fabric. One, two or 10 would help. Whatever you feel you can contribute would be awesome. If you have extra toiletries or hand sanitizer you’d like to donate, that would help as well. I’ll keep you posted how things are progressing! Thanks so much.❤️🐶

Hey friends! So it’s been ages since I’ve done any kind of serious posting. I’m still out there delivering food to my homeless friends and the mission but it’s different now. I deliver when they call and I meet them outside the perimeter of the camp.
Things have changed so much over this last year and a half. When the homeless people tell me don’t go into the camp, it’s not safe, I don’t go. Tonight I was thinking about the regular Sunday morning visits driving down the canal with the water tank and loads of dog food and treats. My heart aches. I’m fortunate that I have strong friendships with some of the homeless, so I can go visit them and feel safe. I appreciate that! ♥️

Hey friends I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. To be completely transparent, life has been rough. I’m still trying to learn my limitations and not beat myself up for needing time to heal. I went through some extensive testing and now have a better understanding of the residual affects of my brain hemorrhage. I can’t live the same life I did before January. And that’s okay...I think. You see, I had big plans, a vision of what I wanted this little nonprofit to become. I’ve had to face a hard reality though. I can continue my work, at a slower pace and put the big plans on hold for now. I’ll be honest, that hurts...a lot. I look outside and see the start of my dream. It’s incomplete and looks so sad. When will it be complete? That I don’t know yet. What I do know is that I will continue my mission of helping the pets of the homeless. I so appreciate the love and support I’ve gotten since I started Thomas’ Good Turn. I’ve been embarrassed and ashamed to say that I have to scale back my plans - I feel like a failure. I do hope that you will continue this journey with me! Let’s see what God has planned for the future of Thomas’ Good Turn. Much love, Mary 💕🐾♥️
