Fox update!
Tod has been hanging with the three older kits. They are getting along great! I waited a bit, for Tod to grow a bit bigger before introducing them. I didn't want him to get picked on or hurt. The first few nights, I kept watch on them with a camera and the others accepted him immediately.
Tod is the little guy in the foreground of the video, close to Blossom.
You can see me shuffling and stomping my feet. I am not doing this to be mean. I am teaching them not to trust me. It's a bittersweet shift with wildlife babies but a necessary one.
Most humans are not their friends and if we don't teach them to have an appropriate fear of us, then we are setting them up for failure in the wild.
