Here is a quick snapshot of a few steers in the feeder pen & last night’s dinner (tallow seared & slow cooked short ribs, that fell off the bone).

We have 1 steer in our group, that is available this week, going to -MW. 1/4s, 1/2s or whole. This is our last until 2026. Call us to fill your freezer now, or get on the list for next year.

We also have beef fat available for our game hunters that need it for their homemade burger. You could also use our fat for cooking like we are, or make your own soaps and lotions.

To a man we enjoyed roping with for many years.

To a man who has supported our local Ravalli County Jr Rodeo 2025 kids & Ravalli County 4H Horse Program with practice cattle. And was a previous Gold Star Buyer for Ravalli County 4H Livestock, for 2 years in a row.

To a man who has supported youth & adults with terminal illnesses.

To a man who helped support rodeo, cowboy events, and the cattle industry in Montana.

Blake Nuffer, you were a great person, friend, cowboy, and influence in Montana.

It is with absolute shock and devastation we tell you that Montana Livestock Auction has lost the heart and soul of our team. Blake sorted his last set of calves Friday morning.

While we all know we have the biggest boots to fill, business at Montana Livestock Auction will continue on. We have approached our busiest season of an auction barn, the fall run. Blake built a strong team with a solid foundation here and the faith we have will carry us through fall as normal.

Our fall schedule is filling quickly with consignments. We will keep our consignments up to date on our website, as always. Please know, if you have any questions or concerns we are here for you, our customers. You can call Cassidy or Daryn for any assistance you may need.

We ask you to keep Blake’s family in your prayers as they navigate this season ahead.

1 Front Quarter Beef left before the new prices in November. This quarter was packaged in August & it includes 90/10 burger in 2 # packages, a few chuck roasts, rib steaks/ribeye, short ribs, fajita/kabob/stew meat, Denver steaks, Flat irons, Skirt Steaks & a Brisket cut in 2. $1200 & ready to be picked up.

We have a small sampling of 1 # burger, short ribs, 1/2 briskets, chuck roasts, Osso Bucco, & kabob/stew meat remaining until the end of November or January butcher dates.
