Our Story

Strategic Paws Boarding is run by husband and wife team, Lance and Connie Moss. They live on the property and are currently the entire staff! Lance left his job teaching science for sixth graders, and Connie left her job at United Airlines to follow her passion of working with animals.

These aren’t just any boarding kennels, this place is about viewing the boarding experience from the dog’s perspective. Every single thing is thought through and considered from the dog’s point of view. From the kennels themselves to the environment, and the interactions between the dogs.

Kennels are designed so that dogs cannot see each other, as most dogs actually don’t find this situation particularly comforting.

Most afternoons, during quiet time, there will be a delicate scent of lavender in the air to encourage calming behaviors.
