Almaroad Kennel (South) can trace its roots back to when I, Adam, was about 6 years old. We wanted a dog, so my dad got us two Golden Retrievers, and Almaroad Kennel was born. My dad has been breeding Golden Retrievers for 40+ years. For the past 20 years he has also been breeding Golden Irish. A Golden Irish is a cross between an AKC Registered Golden Retriever and an AKC Registered Irish Setter.
They are bred to bring out the best of both Golden Retrievers and Irish Setters. These amazing dogs are sometimes called Irish Golden or Irish Retriever. When it comes to great family dogs, it is hard to beat Golden Retrievers and Irish Setters. When you combine the two, you get the best of both breeds. Our family has always loved dogs. In 2021 we got Lucy from my dad with the intention of making her apart our family. We also wanted to breed Golden Irish puppies, so we could share these amazing dogs with other dog lovers. Lucy (Golden Retriever, light) and Ricky (Irish Setter, mahogany) have both been a part of our family since they were puppies. We raise excellent Golden Irish puppies as quality family pets. Both parents are AKC Registered. I grew up around dogs and loving puppies.
