Hey my health is doing okay currently . If I still continue to do okay over the next couple weeks with no big symptoms im thinking about opening again June! Hey yall, ( long post)

This has been a decision I have struggled with and is really hard for me to make .....

The last 3 months I have been battling health issues and the health system . As you know I have chiari 1 malformation, Intercranial hypertension, and narrowing of vessels in my brain .
If that wasnt enough recent scans have shown, a cyst on my spinal chord , c6/c7 pushing against my chord , and a nodule on my thyroid . I have not had a biopsy yet . Currently waiting for my next appointment to see where we go from here.

I've struggled with vision/dizzy/ weak spells. Loss of feeling and tingling in my hands and feet.
Headaches , weakness in my legs and arms , and nausea. Im hoping most these symptoms will be fixed with surgery whenever the health system decides to do that. Most these symptoms are triggered by activity or physical stress on my body.

I've been trying to power through for my family , for my clients , and for financial sake.
As my symptoms become worse and more frequent.

I have decided that January 19th will be my last day in the salon til further notice .

This decision did not come lightly at all . I have cried many tears and probably over discussed it with my family and friends. I have worked so hard the last 5 years to provide this service . Starting L&J's was a jump i took as a single mom . Just my son and I against the world . Thanks to all of your constant support you allowed me to provide for my family . Alot of you have been through so much with me and so many changes over the years .

Im hoping this isnt permanent but there's so much unknown i can't promise a return date . Once I make it to the other side of this im hoping to see you all again .

Hey guys ! I've got three topics to update on !

I had a neuro check up and they are thinking surgery . Not sure when yet I have to do some more imaging and meet with another DR. So I know for sure I will not have surgery in January.

Now that the negative stuff is out the way I have a positive and a christmas deal.

The Baby of the L&J's family is 1 today ! We all survived the first year 🙌 only 60 or so more to go hopefully ! Everyone knows being a mom never ends.

Then im running a deal from monday the 15th - 23rd I will be offering $20 dollar baths with nails included . Any size any breed . Extra services will be an extra charge. Hopefully then I can help everyone have some clean pups for your family get togethers !

Hey yallll help a girl out ! I have been fostering a stray momma who had 6 kittens ! We are down to 2 kittens and momma left. Kittens turned 8 weeks on the 3rd . There is one female (tan face) and one male left . Solid food and litter box trained.
I have had them quarantined and separated from my 3 cats just to keep everyone safe and stress free. When momma and babies run around the grooming shop they are so sweet and fun . Momma cat is so calm and affectionate . She just wants all the love. They have been around my big pups with no reaction . My son has also handled them . So these cats are kid , dog , vaccum , and just chaos trained haha .

Anyone who helps find them homes or takes them will get a FREE groom !

momma could be a farm cat she is used to being outdoors mostly but she is litter box trained and sweet as pie .

I have some news and I hope you guys can bare with me. I finally have a diagnosis for some health episodes. Chiari 1 malformation, intercranial hypertension, and some narrowing .

I've never heard of this but my symptoms have gotten severe the longer I endure it. (Especially the last 6+weeks). I wasn't going to post and just power through til i talked with a neurosurgeon, to decide if surgery was something we wanted to move forward with ...

well last night I was in the er with excruciating pressure and pain. Due to my symptoms kinda taking a scary upscale.I won't be adding new clients til I get it sorted. If you are on my books dont fret im staying open, will also book current client more spaced out. The only thing that will change that is if they decide to move on with surgery . Which could be months from now.

I will keep everyone posted if a big change is made . I really appreciate everyone who has been so patient between the kids and i's health this fall . You dont know how much your support and the guilt of disappointing yall keeps me going lol

Totally understand also if you want a more stable option for your grooming needs. No hard feelings at all. Life is crazy for everyone and sometimes schedules or events throw a wrench in it .
I promise to try my best to do all I can to keep things as consistent as I can. Your grooms might just take a little longer some days and I will communicate that before your appointment.

I've been running L&J's for 5 years . You all have allowed me to support my family and be a present mom to my two sweet babies . Its all Due to you and I feel beyond blessed to have the support that I do . ❤️

If you need your pup in before Thanksgiving I have availability next week!

Whether its you want them clean for the sitter or for all the family to come. Also get the pup desheded before you clean your house for guests, to cut down on the pesky hair!

I have the 19th, 20th, 21st some variety of open-slots. If needed due to the holiday I will offer Saturday and Sunday appointments at request!
