Bunlandia Rabbit Rescue and Rehab

Hi, it’s me Harvey! The lady says we are running low on some items, so we are hoping maybe some of our friends want to send us some off our wishlist? We are especially running low on:

3ml syringes
Nitrile gloves
Baby wipes
Critical care/Emeraid (lady says we are going through this the fastest!)
Science Selective Adult Rabbit (for my friend Benji!)

We have approximately 4 buns getting supplemental critcal care every night, so the lady also added some low bowls to serve up the yummy green gloop!

If you can help by sending any of these items to us, we would be so grateful!

Breezy

Sweet Breezy has been settling in well. She is still a bit reserved, but starting to show us glimpses of her sweet personality. She is a big fan of her greens and head rubs!

Her vet appointment scheduled for today had to be moved due to a scheduling conflict, but we will update you on that when it happens!

🥗 Salad Restock 🥗

Sunday Funday getting our weekly greens for the buns. We had to pivot slightly and get a different type of spring mix since our usual brand all had a best by date of tomorrow. The brand we bought instead is about 50 cents more expensive and doesn’t fit in the bun fridge as well, but we will make it work! We have so many buns right now on extra greens that along with usual spring mix and dill, we bought a big box of cilantro. Our total this week came to $91.71.

Our weekly cost for bunny greens averages $70-$100. If you would like to help with any amount, you can reach out directly or donate here:

If you would like to sponsor an entire week, please reach out so we can properly thank you in our salad club posts!

🍂 Harvey 🍂

Harvey had his first recheck appointment for his spinal injury this week. Although he has been in our care about 3 weeks, we have learned that his injury occurred closer to 6 weeks ago.

Although it is still too soon to tell how much Harvey will recover, he has been showing some encouraging signs. We are continuing with our current care plan of rest, pain management, and assissi loop treatments.

✈️ Breezy ✈️

Beautiful Breezy suddenly appeared near a local airport a week and a half ago. Lucky for her, someone recognized that she did not belong outside and was able to catch her and bring her inside to safety just this week. Despite being basically across the street from a busy airport, Breezy was able to avoid cars, coyotes, and other predators.

Despite facing a week plus of IROPS, this morning Breezy was cleared for departure by BUN-TC and made her way to Bunlandia. Thankfully her landing was smooth and uneventful, but it seems she arrived with a large number of contraband…in the form of deer ticks. Before today our record for deer ticks was 88 on Violet back in 2022. Breezy said “hold my carrot-tini,” because she had a staggering 147+ (I stopped counting) ticks on her head and ears. After Bunlandia TSA (me) spent over an hour removing her contraband, Breezy is now settling in comfortably in her private (quarantine) suite. Given how many ticks we’ve removed from her and the toll those ticks took on her body, we are keeping a close eye on her.

Breezy has a first class ticket booked on Hare Force One Tuesday. Round trip to her vet visit.

We will never know why Breezy was dumped outside or what her life was like before today. She is one of the lucky ones. So many rabbits that are dumped outside suffer horrible fates.

So please allow us to issue one NOTAM that will never expire. STOP DUMPING YOUR PETS!

If you would like to donate to Breezy’s ongoing care, you can do so here:

Adoptable Sophie is pretty annoyed we even have make this post and honestly so am I.

🌟PSA🌟

We love the little community we have built of like minded people who love bunnies, believe in animal welfare, and support our cause. That being said, please do not slide into other follower's DMs. Whether you are seeking a love connection or aiming to harass/bully others (we've seen both this week, sometimes in the same message!), it will not be tolerated on this page. You will be immediately blocked.

We are not a dating service and we certainly have no patience for nastiness.

We are volunteers with full time jobs and a lot of bunnies, especially special needs bunnies to care for. Our mental load is quite heavy without having to referee adults on the internet.

Handsome boys Anchony and Barley had a busy morning!

Anchovy is getting those pesky teefs taken care of today and will be picked up later this afternoon. Barley stopped in quick to receive his second RHD vaccine. He is now available for adoption!
