Meet Maverick, Beans, and Gracie, the energetic trio who came to Ridgeside K9 exhibiting human and dog reactivity, leash pulling, and limited obedience.

Their training program focused on developing reliable obedience, improving leash manners, establishing better impulse control, strengthening recall, and teaching calm, appropriate interactions with both people and other dogs. Throughout their time with us, all three dogs made tremendous progress, becoming more focused, responsive, and confident in a variety of environments both on and off leash.

With continued consistency and reinforcement at home, Maverick, Beans, and Gracie now have the foundation and structure needed to continue succeeding with their family and in public settings. We are extremely proud of the progress they made during their training journey and look forward to seeing their continued success in the future.

Meet Kira, a Shepherd mix who came to Ridgeside K9 displaying dog reactivity, leash pulling, and limited obedience.

Her training program focused on building a strong foundation in obedience, establishing reliable leash control, strengthening recall, improving overall leash manners, and teaching calm, polite greetings with both people and other dogs. Throughout her stay, Kira made exceptional progress, becoming more attentive, responsive, and confident both on and off leash.

With consistency and continued reinforcement at home, Kira now has the structure and skills needed to continue thriving with her family. We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication she showed during her training and look forward to her continued success!

Meet Ares, this fun-loving pup joined us at Ridgeside K9, where his training program focused on building a strong foundation in obedience while channeling all that puppy energy in the right direction. We also implemented focused behavioral work to address inappropriate biting and chewing directed toward humans, furniture, and non-digestible objects.

Throughout his stay, Ares made awesome progress—becoming more attentive, responsive, and confident as he gained clarity and structure. We’re proud of the effort he put in and excited to see him continue to grow and thrive at home!

Meet Jett, this amazing comfort dog joined us at Ridgeside K9 to refine his manners and strengthen his obedience before returning to the residents at Covenant Woods Senior Assisted Living Center. His training focused on preventing jumping and leash pulling while reinforcing solid core obedience commands.

A major goal of Jett’s program was teaching him to sit politely during greetings with residents, staff, and visitors. We also implemented targeted behavioral exercises to eliminate inappropriate behaviors—especially jumping up on people.

Throughout his stay, Jett showed remarkable progress—becoming more reliable, attentive, and confident as he gained clarity and structure. We’re incredibly proud of his dedication and look forward to watching him continue to thrive at Covenant Woods.

Meet Mookie! This young pup joined us at Ridgeside K9 after being rescued at just 11 weeks of age. His training program emphasized strengthening his recall skills and establishing a solid foundation in core obedience commands, including sit, stay, down, place, and heel. Meet Bennett, this adorable pup recently joined us at Ridgeside K9 for training!
His program focused on strengthening his recall skills while introducing the fundamentals of basic obedience—including sit, stay, down, place, and heel. Throughout his stay, Bennett made fantastic progress, becoming more reliable, focused, and confident as he gained a clearer understanding of expectations.
We’re incredibly proud of the dedication he showed and can’t wait to see him continue to thrive at home. Great job, Bennett!

Her training program focused on establishing reliable leash control, refining overall leash manners, and developing calm, appropriate greetings with both people and other dogs. Throughout her time with us, Gemelli made significant progress, becoming more attentive, responsive, and well-mannered both on and off leash.

Meet Sebastian, a 5-year-old Toy Poodle who came to Ridgeside K9 displaying growling and nipping behaviors, with no prior crate training experience and no formal obedience training—including place, sit, heel, stay, or recall. His training also incorporated the use of tone avoidance to help guide clear communication and build reliable responses.

His goals included preparing him to serve as a comfort companion for his disabled veteran owner—developing the skills needed to remain calm and confident while walking alongside and riding in an electric wheelchair, as well as eliminating aggressive behaviors toward others.

During his program, Sebastian’s training focused on building reliable leash control, improving overall leash manners, and teaching calm, polite greetings without nipping or growling. Throughout his time with us, Sebastian made excellent progress—becoming more focused, responsive, and well-mannered both on and off leash, even around distractions.

We’re incredibly proud of the hard work Sebastian put in and are excited to see him continue building on these skills with his family while bringing comfort and joy to his veteran owner. Great job, Sebastian!

Meet Dragon, a bold and spirited pup who recently joined us for training at Ridgeside K9! Dragon came to us working through challenges with barking, crate training, housebreaking, digging, biting, and socialization. During his time with us, we focused on building clear communication, structure, and positive habits to help him feel more confident and in control. He learned appropriate ways to express himself, improved his manners around people and other dogs, and made great strides with crate comfort and potty routines.
Dragon showed awesome progress becoming calmer, more responsive, and better equipped to handle new environments and experiences. We’re so proud of the effort he put in and can’t wait to see him continue growing and thriving with his family. Great job, Dragon!
