Meet Petey, the lovable, rambunctious goofball who just needed a little help with boundaries!

Petey came to us full of energy, but his size and lack of personal space made for some less-than-pleasant interactions with guests and family. He wasn’t mean, just a little too enthusiastic and unaware of how his behavior affected those around him.

During his three weeks of training, we focused on helping Petey understand how to respond to structure, guidance, and accountability.

He now responds when called (no more stay-away games). He’s calmer, more polite, and far more enjoyable in the home.

Petey still has that same big heart, but now it’s paired with manners that make him a joy to live with.

Meet Kobe, a Potcake pup with a big heart and a bigger journey.�Potcakes are native to the Caribbean, often found in places like the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos. They're smart, resilient, and full of character, and Kobe is no exception!

When he first arrived, Kobe was nervous about walking and constantly pulled on the leash, unsure of his surroundings and how to handle the world around him. His impulsiveness made it hard for him to settle or focus.

But after two weeks of training, Kobe is walking calmly on leash, learning to trust, and showing much more confidence in his daily life. Watching him grow into the dog we knew he could be has been a privilege.

Meet Shelby, a beautiful German Shepherd with a big personality who was making life very difficult for her mom. Living in a busy Arlington neighborhood, Shelby loved to bark, growl, and lunge at walkers, other dogs, and especially bicyclists. Visitors at the front door? Forget it. And listening to her mom? Only when she felt like it.

After just three weeks of training, everything changed.

Shelby is now able to go on walks without losing control, calmly hang out in the yard without reacting to every little thing, and, best of all, she listens! Her mom can now confidently give her a command and Shelby actually follows through. Life is quieter, calmer, and finally peaceful.

🐶 Meet Otis — the rambunctious, lovable, and hilariously wild beagle puppy who recently graduated from our Two-Week Board and Train! 🎓

Otis had a heart of gold… and zero impulse control. Whether it was turning the couch into a jungle gym, stealing socks, or treating every object like a chew toy, life with Otis was chaotic. Cute? Absolutely. Easy? Not even close.

But after two weeks with us, Otis has learned that the world isn’t his personal playground. He now knows how to come back reliably when called, respect boundaries, and control his impulses, without losing that big beagle personality his family adores.

Life at home is calmer, more enjoyable, and full of wins for Otis and his family. We’re so proud of this little guy’s progress!

🎉 Zeus the Great Pyrenees mix crushed his board and train! 🎉

When Zeus first came to us, his family needed help with a few things. He had a habit of barking when anyone walked into the house, not in a scary way, but definitely in a way that made guests feel unwelcome. Walks weren’t much easier, as he tended to pull and sometimes react to other dogs. More than anything, his family wanted to feel confident that they could take Zeus anywhere and have guests over without the chaos.

While training with us, Zeus learned:
✅ How to walk politely on leash without pulling
✅ To stay calm and quiet when people enter the home
✅ To ignore other dogs and focus on his owner
✅ That structure leads to freedom and fun!

🎉Milo didn’t just change, he learned how to trust.🎉

When Milo first came to us, he was on edge,growling, defensive, and always on high alert. His raised hackles and intense reactions weren’t aggression for the sake of it, they were habits he had learned to keep people at a distance. Walks were stressful, and public outings were more about managing behavior than enjoying the moment, for both him and his owner.

But after three weeks of structure, patience, and consistent guidance, Milo started to let his guard down. And when he did, something beautiful happened:

✅ More confident in new places
�✅ Easier to walk and handle
�✅ And no longer saw every stranger as a threat

Kemba just wrapped our Three-Week Board and Train program, and we couldn’t be more proud of his progress!

This handsome guy came to us to build confidence, sharpen his manners, and continue growing into the amazing companion his family knows and loves.

Over the past few weeks, Kemba has made huge strides:

🎉 Meet Dublin: The Sweet Pup with a Whole Lot of Potential! 🎉

10-month old Dublin came to Ridgeside K9 full of curiosity—and a little too much enthusiasm for everything that moved and struggled with lots of barking! His family needed help with leash pulling, chasing anything he saw on the street, and just learning how to be a well-mannered family dog. After completing our 3-week Training Program, Dublin made incredible strides. Check out what he accomplished:

✅ Learned to walk calmly on leash—no more tug-of-war!
✅ Built focus around distractions—passers-by and cars, beware!
✅ Improved impulse control—he’s thinking before reacting.
✅ Developed great house manners—ready for a chill time with the fam, and yes less barking.
✅ Kept his sweet and playful personality while gaining structure.
