It will also carry the enduring influence of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.

🌹 Diana taught William that Royal duty was not only about ceremony, titles and Palace protocol. She showed him the importance of compassion, human connection and using his position to support people who felt forgotten.

As a child, William accompanied Diana on private visits that introduced him to homelessness and life beyond Royal privilege. Decades later, ending homelessness has become one of the Prince of Wales’s most important missions through his Homewards programme.

💙 Her influence can also be recognised in William’s work involving mental health, young people and families facing difficult circumstances.

Yet William has never tried to become a copy of Diana.

👑 Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has not served as a working member of the British Royal Family since she and Prince Harry stepped back from official Royal duties in 2020.

Yet she continues to use the Duchess of Sussex title granted by Queen Elizabeth II when the couple married in 2018.

⚖️ For many Royal supporters, this creates an uncomfortable contradiction.

They believe a Royal title should represent duty, loyalty, discretion and active service to the Crown. In their view, anyone who chooses an independent life outside the Monarchy should not continue benefiting from a title connected to the institution.

Removing the Sussex title, they argue, would establish a clear principle: Royal status must come with Royal responsibility.

🏛️ Others believe such a decision would reopen old wounds, generate further controversy and give Harry and Meghan another opportunity to present themselves as victims of the Royal Family.

The matter is also more complicated than King Charles III simply making a personal decision. The Duke of Sussex is a hereditary peerage, and removing it would involve serious legal and parliamentary considerations.

They remain the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, although they no longer represent the Crown as working members of the British Royal Family.

⚖️ Many Royal supporters believe King Charles III should address the issue now.

They argue that Royal titles should remain connected to duty, loyalty and service to the British people. Allowing Harry and Meghan to retain prestigious titles while pursuing an independent life in California has created what some see as an uncomfortable contradiction.

In their view, postponing the decision simply passes a difficult problem from father to son.

👑 Others believe Charles may be reluctant to take such action against his own son. Removing the Sussex peerage would also not be a simple personal decision for the King, as it would involve legal and parliamentary considerations.

That could leave Prince William facing the same question when he eventually becomes King.

👑 Many of our followers believe Queen Elizabeth II would have eventually taken firmer action against Prince Harry and Meghan if she were still alive today.

The late Queen devoted more than 70 years to protecting the Crown, respecting its traditions and placing duty above personal preference.

⚖️ When Harry and Meghan stepped back from official Royal service, Queen Elizabeth made the boundaries clear.

They could build an independent life, but they could not continue representing the Sovereign as working Royals. Their honorary appointments and Royal patronages were returned, and although they retained their HRH styles, they agreed not to use them.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles remained.

🇬🇧 Since then, their interviews, documentary projects and Harry’s memoir have intensified calls for those titles to be removed completely.

Many of our followers believe the Queen would have viewed the continued use of Royal status outside official service as damaging to the dignity and traditions of the Monarchy. Others point out that she had already chosen not to remove the titles and remained deeply conscious that Harry was her grandson.

No one can know with certainty what she would decide today.
