Today was our final day at APG, in Springfield IL. Thank you very much for the privilege grooming your beloved dogs and cats. We will deeply miss our furry clients and the special bond we’ve shared. While we're very sad to close this chapter, we are excited for the new adventure. We are grateful for your support and trust over the years, and we carry these memories with us as we move forward. Thank you for being part of this journey.

I wanted to share an update regarding APG business operations. After careful consideration, I’ve decided to extend our opening for one additional month. With Scarlett finishing school in May, APG will remain open through the end of the month, officially closing for the last week of May. While we are still planning to close, this extension allows us a bit more time to serve you. I just wanted to be sure to give everyone enough notice. Our regular monthly appointments have already been scheduled. If you've found a new groomer, please do not cancel your appt. However, if you’d like to book an additional appointment before our closure, please feel free to reach out and secure your spot. We’d be happy to accommodate you. Also, Connor is offering in-home cat-grooming services starting the week after Easter. If interested, please call 217-210-2002 for more info or to schedule an appt. All calls have been forwarded feel free to call on the weekends or evenings too.

It's the last three weeks 🥲, there are 9 small dog full-service groom slots and 6 big dog full-service groom slots available as of now. Full-service cat grooming, Dog and/or cat Bath/Brush deshedds, and bath/brush/face, feet, n f***y, nails, etc. are also available; however, please note that these appointments will utilize time slots from the existing schedule. We sincerely thank you, our valued customers, for your support and trust in us.

Dear valued APG clients,
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closure of Affordable Pet Grooming. After several years of caring for your amazing pets, I’ve decided to close my doors. I had planned to retire last July, but life took an unexpected turn when my son was in an automobile accident in March 2024. We’ve been navigating that challenge as a family, and now we’re ready for our next adventure—focusing on family and taking a well-deserved step back. Our last day of operation will be April 18th, 2025. Thank you so much for your incredible support and for trusting us with your furry loved ones—it’s been a privilege.

Update: Reunited with owner! Thank you very much for all your help!

As we were leaving work Friday night around 6:30pm, and getting into our vehicle, this husky approached us. Since our vehicle's doors were opened, the husky jumped right on in. But I can not take this very confident husky to my home (I have four cats). Please share to help me find his owners.
