I hope everyone had a safe and happy Thanksgiving! I am so thankful for my 2 little "monsters" who help me with classes & lessons, and play all the games with me! I am also extremely thankful for all of you who have helped me continue to grow a successful business. I appreciate each and every one of you! I would like to give special thanks to Carol for the beautiful pastel portrait of Clyde! 😍 We had a 4-foot-wide canvas print made which is finally hanging in the training building, and I love it! Clyde was the special boy who was the start of my love for training, so it is only fitting that he is there with me every day. ❤️ A big thank you to Nicole also for making me a quilt to hang above the front door... It is perfect! 😊

It was a great turnout for our November 1st ACT Trial... We had 50 runs really nice runs! 😃 Results are listed below. It is always fun to see everyone's progress. Congratulations to all of you!!! Participants, please feel free to share pictures, videos, or links to your own posts in the comments. We would love to see them! Huge THANK YOU to EVERYONE (participants and helpers alike) who spent the day with us! We could not do it without you!!! ❤ Thanks again to Melissa for always being a great judge and keeping things relaxed and fun! 😊

Reminder: Halloween party starts at 6:00 tonight...
Hoping to see some fun costumes! Students and their dogs are welcome to join us as long as the dogs will enjoy the chaos that comes with a party attended by dogs and people they don't know doing trick and playing games. Can't wait to see everyone!

What a Friday it was for our novice teams at the Northstar Rottweiler Club AKC Agility Trial held at On the Run Canine Center. These four teams took 1st place in each of their novice Standard and Jumpers classes! It was the first trial ever for Roxanne & Ozzy, and Terri & Toby, and they proved to be ready to take on the task! Jess & River also did a great job, earning both of their Novice Standard & Jumpers Titles. Zelda continues to improve in her ability to stay on task and resist the urge to visit all of the wonderful people in the ring with us. It was a really fun day spent with dogs and friends. I'm so proud of all of these handlers, not to mention the dogs who work their hearts out for us to be able to enjoy this sport with them!!! ❤️

👹 THE LITTLE DEVILS WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU!!! 👹
We will be having our 3rd annual Halloween party for our students!!! 🎃 It will be Friday, October 31st starting at 6:00pm. There will be a costume contest (dog costumes), a few dog games, prizes, tricks and Treats! Non reactive dogs are welcome, but please don't bring shy, timid, or overly reactive dogs, as they will find it stressful and will not enjoy the party. There will be limited crating space available in another room if you come thinking your dog could handle the party and they get upset or fearful. If anyone (non-student) would like to stop in (without a dog) to see the facility & meet some people, you are welcome to do that. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

As I was vacuuming, I couldn't help but think of how every hair (and there were many!🤣) represents how busy it has been! As I look back at past classes, prepare to graduate current classes, and start planning to schedule the next, I am reminded how lucky I am to have met all of you! 😊 Congratulations to the most recent puppy and beginner graduates... Thank you for trusting me to help you along your journey with your four-legged friends. You have all done a great job and make me very proud!!!

Details for Rhy's-N-Shine Canines upcoming AKC ACT (Agility Course Test) event Saturday, November 1st. Doors open for registration at 10:30am, briefing and walk through followed by 1st run at 11:30am.

Open to all dogs 15 months and over with no other AKC agility title (can have legs toward a title).

AKC number is not required to enter, but it can be applied for online before entering or AKC will assign a temporary number when ACT results are sent in.

ACT titles can be earned with 2 qualifying runs in one class. There will be 2 runs offered for each of the following 4 classes.

ACT1 consists of the A-Frame, table, jumps and tunnels.

ACT2 adds tire, teeter, double jump and 6 weave poles to obstacles used in ACT1.

ACT1J consists of jumps and tunnels.

ACT2J adds the double jump and 6 weave poles to obstacles used in ACT1J.

Dogs are allowed to jump any height. Entry fee is $15 each for the first 4 runs and $10 for each additional run, payable by cash or check. There will be blank forms available at the event. Make sure you have the information needed with you to complete the form. Contact us if you have any questions or would like to pre-register.
