Crazy Pants Goes to School: Episode One
Cricket started her Canine Good Citizen class last night (10/29/26). This is a 6 week class and at the end she will test for her CGC certificate. This is basically a manners class and helps us brush up on some basic training. We love taking classes vs just training at home because we get to also work on distractions and get additional socialization in. No class next Thursday or on Thanksgiving….CGC test is on 12/17/26.

A couple we weeks ago we had the privilege of having one of our babies, Miles aka Soot aka Gray Collar, and his big sister Luci, come hang out with us for the weekend. They had so much fun running around with Cricket and we love when our babies come visit. You can watch more of Miles and Luci on their own channel Lucifer & Miles ❤️

We learned some things yesterday (10/25/26). Detection work is too slow for Lucien, once he finds something he moves on to find something else, and when you try to bring him back to it to train an alert he looks at you like “dumbass I already showed you were it’s at, next”. Open air will be awesome for him, he can “chase” the scent, this will move faster for him. Cricket did great on narcotics last week and yesterday, be towards the end I just wanted her to check out HRD, she was crazy interested and with her slow methodical way of searching, I think this is the way we will go with her training. I thought Lucien would be my HRD dog because he nails water hides, so thought I could develop that natural aptitude, he was interested once in the stinky box….that’s when I got the look of it’s over there no need to return.

Cricket is faster than Lucien…… but in his defense, he wears himself out before he even gets started, and he has almost 4 years on her ❤️

We are both alive and completely intact……..I can’t with him 🤦‍♀️

LOVING the new vinyl rugs. These should be 1000% easier to sweep/vacuum than the blankets. Also, Cricket has the tendency to “walk” her kennel……not happening on these rugs 😍 The super white is making my cream rug look dirty, but I don’t care.

Cricket with the zoomies 🤣 She thought she was practicing for FastCAT……..must have helped 7.88 seconds again on Saturday.
