Our big boy Thunder got his wings 🪽
Thunder came to The Canyon as part of the “OG 6”. We rescued 6 drafts all at once before I started the non- profit and before I started this account. He was one of the firsts 🤍
He loved me. He loved cookies. I guarantee I was the first one to give him a cookie (Amish horses don’t usually know what they are), and he loved his family, his herd 🐴
A true gentle giant (except for his dentals), blind in his left eye and worked so damn hard. I call it old man syndrome when they start to decline due to old age and the aches and pains of his tired body eventually became more than we could manage.
