A little MIA on social media lately… but we’re still here! It’s just been HOT. 😅☀️

This past weekend, we had the sweetest time celebrating Miss Kennedy’s 4th birthday! 🩷🎉

To make the day even more memorable, our very own Miss Margie decided it was the perfect time to lay an egg… right there at the party! 🥚🐔 It was such a special moment, and for many of the guests, it was the very first time they’d ever witnessed a chicken lay an egg.

Of course, the birthday girl got to keep the extra-special souvenir, and she was absolutely thrilled! We have a feeling that’s a birthday surprise Miss Kennedy will remember for a long time. 💕🥚

Everyone expects the pigs to love a cool shower… but the turkeys? That catches people by surprise every single time!

🌾🦆👀 Farm Fun Fact 🌾🦆👀

This picture caught Charlotte doing something pretty neat. See how her head is turned almost sideways? That’s because she had spotted a hawk circling overhead and never took her eyes off of it.

Even while we’re at events surrounded by people, our animals don’t lose those natural instincts. Living on a farm means predators like hawks are a very real threat, and the animals are always aware of what’s happening above them.

Here’s a fun farm tip: one of the best ways to help protect your flock is by making friends with the local crows! 🐦‍⬛

Crows see hawks as a threat and will often work together to drive them away. They’re like the neighborhood watch of the bird world!

Want to encourage crows to stick around? Try leaving a few shiny objects (like old coins or bits of costume jewelry) along with some crow-friendly treats on an elevated surface. They may even leave you a little “thank you gift” in return—crows are known for bringing back small trinkets they find!

Nature has a pretty incredible way of taking care of itself, and being able to educate others about these incredible animals is one of the most rewarding parts of this job. 💚

Plot twist: the adults are almost always our biggest fans. 🤭🦆

We were on the road bright and early this morning making our way to Clemson Creative Academy for a special summer camp visit! Watching people of all ages slow down, laugh, and enjoy time with the animals truly is a blessing.
