Alford German Shepherds is proud to announce we will now be offering non breed restricted training services!!! From beginner level obedience to AKC Canine Good Citizen prep all the way up to Service dog public access training (for pre-approved dogs only!!!). This is not a board and train service, this will be a by the hour service where we teach you to teach your dog. We will not be working with behavior modification of any aggressive dogs. We accept all ages, from fully vaccinated puppies to adult dogs. We work with beginner all the way up to more advanced dogs/ owners. Again NO breed restrictions.
Here at Alford German Shepherds and Dog Training we aim for our training program to be a fun and educational experience geared towards teaching your dog in manner that works. We want you to not only build a life long bond but also lifelong respect and teamwork between you and your dog.
We will be offering hourly classes as well as class programs (8 classes).
Programs available:
Pre-class evaluation - help identify what you and your dog are strong at as well as identify where you need help, to better place you in an appropriate program or class. ( Required for any CGC or Service dog clients, highly suggested for all adult dogs or older puppies)
Basic puppy obedience program - Teach: sit, down, stay, heel, leave it, place, come, etc.
Basic adult obedience program - Teach: sit, down, stay, heel, leave it, place, come, etc
Intermediate puppy obedience program - Improve on sit, down, stay, heel, leave it, place, come, etc and begin adding distractions experienced in home environment.
Intermediate adult obedience program - Improve on sit, down, stay, heel, leave it, place, come, etc and begin adding distractions experienced in home environment.
Advanced puppy obedience program - Improve obedience in distracting situations experienced in home environment and begin introducing distractions in a public setting.
Advanced adult obedience program - Improve obedience in distracting situations experienced in home environment and begin introducing distractions in a public setting.
Expert Puppy Obedience Program - Improve on obedience in public settings. Off leash training
Expert Adult Obedience Program - Improve on obedience in public settings.
Bad Behavior Program - help with modifying bad behaviors like barking, chewing, leash pulling, nipping, jumping, rude greetings (of humans or dogs), bad crate behavior and much more.
CGC prep Program - helping you prepare your dog for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test (Test evaluator not available through Alford German Shepherds, but can be taken with the Alfod GS trainer at the Spartanburg Petco)
Service Dog public access Program - Improving obedience and attention skills commonly experienced in a public setting normally seen during a working service dogs daily outings. (FOR PRE-APPROVED DOGS AND OWNERS ONLY)
Hourly classes:
Hourly Obedience - help teaching or improving up to 2 obedience cues per hour.
Hourly Minor problem behavior modification - helping you modify or rectify small problem behaviors including: jumping, digging, kennel training, potty training, destructive habits, etc... please note that we do not guarantee complete behavior modification of even minor behaviors in just one 1 hour session. Behaviors, even minor ones, often take hours of work to modify.
Service Dog Task Training - teaching your public access trained Service dog tasks to directly help you mitigate your disability. (PRE-APPROVED DOGS AND OWNERS ONLY)
Trick training - helping you teach your dog fun and engaging tricks. This class is wonderful for bond building and for showing off to your friends and family at your next gathering! Please note that this class works best with dogs that at least know basic obedience.
