Maggie is the cutest of the cute 🙂
Anyone in the Aldie/Willowsford area recognize this boy? He was found alone in the dog park this morning 🙁
Hello neighbors! I’ve owned Suburban Tails Dog Walking & Pet Sitting since 2005 here in South Riding and am seeking candidates for part-time midday dog walking in the next few weeks. Seeking someone who is interested for long term/committed work - this is excellent for a mom whose kids are older and in school and is looking for flexible, fun part-time work close to home, as well as people seeking daytime work, students in class at night, etc
Walks are most weekdays from 11-1ish, walking 2-3 dogs in the South Riding/Stone Ridge/Aldie neighborhoods starting mid October. You or someone you know must have a valid drivers license, reliable transportation, experience with pets and dependability. Pease contact/message me here or email at [email protected].
It’s not possible to feel sad when looking at this smiling Golden Retriever, Clyde and his feline friend Frankie ❤️
LOCALS: David Keuhner with One Family Brewing is looking to fill two huge trucks with supplies for hurricane relief for both humans and pets in Wilmington, NC and will be leaving at the crack of dawn Sunday morning to deliver them by hand. He will be parked at the Glory Days in Stone Ridge today and tomorrow from noon to 7 to accept donations- if you have things you wish to donate and can’t make it over there you are welcome to drop off at my house in South Riding and we will take it over there. He is also taking donations of unopened bags of dog and cat food.
Please give all you can! These donations go directly into the hands of those in need!
It’s amazing what a little time and some firm kindness will do with very special dogs. Coco was having some anxiety issues and when I met her and her family she barked nonstop and would barely make eye contact with me. Look now at this sweet girl... we are besties 😍.
Happy Summer everyone! Just a reminder to make your summer vacation pet sits as early as you can, even if they’re tentative. I will be on my own vacation from July 17-27, while my able staff will be filling in for me our openings are more limited. Please let me know if you have any questions! In the meantime meet my good friend Patches! As any American Bulldog aficionado knows they are not a breed for the faint of heart but once you’ve won their heart they are your friend forever.
Look at this handsome boy! Chop Chop is a beautiful senior Bassett hound but a few gray hairs doesn’t stop him from enjoying life in the country . Love this guy! ❤️
Upside down in the grass is how Maggie likes to view the world
Meet beautiful Annie! I love that Shepherds have so many “looks” - Annie is so distinctive with her dark, thick coat and gorgeous light brown eyes. She had a tough start in life but is with her forever home whom are 100% committed to her well being for the long haul. This makes my heart so happy and she is so deserving of this! She had a “sister “ named Lucy but she was far too busy wrestling with sticks to sit for a picture 😊🐶
Kitties are so fun and unpredictable! I was tying my shoe, looked up and this guy was stalking me from the countertop😆. My friend Luke is sweet, chatty and total snuggle bug.
A new beautiful face to add to our daily visits... Miss Mia!
Daisy smiles during a belly rub... who wouldn’t!?! 🙂❤️
How bad can a Monday be when you’re this handsome? Zeus says have a great week!
Happy New Year to all our clients and friends! Looking forward to an amazing 2018 🎆🎉🥂
Zeus! A new client and just rescued this summer, his owner is so committed to his training and well being we are privileged to be part of the process. He is SUCH a gentleman and so very smart 🙂
Beautiful boys Titan and Charley!
Locals in the South Riding/Stone Ridge area: In the past two weeks I've been given reports and photo evidence of both a black bear and a coyote in the vicinity of Freedom High School/Liberty Elementary. If you are out and about please be cautious and aware- both animals can perceive humans and pets as threats. Keep your eyes up and out of your phone and please be in control of your pets at all times.
These types of situations are why we do not ever walk dogs on retractable leashes, it is very difficult for a dog to respond quickly to retractables should we have to make a fast reaction to something dangerous. Thank you and be safe!
Penelope is such a beauty I had to include two pictures of her! She is a special girl and I just love spending time with her.
Jack is "belly up" for this warm summer day!!
Carlyn and Dante... the gentle giants!!
Check out this gorgeous boy, Snick!! He is a master of squirrel-watching from his front window, and shares his home with several kitties!
Back in November we were so sad to lose our friend Angus, however his family The Lamberts have recently opened their home and hearts to a new friend- LUCKY! Lucky is an 8-year old Yorkie mix, and is busy being "lucky" to have such a happy new home!
These beauties, Harper and Poppy, are usually too busy to be still for a picture but today they were in the mood to pose! Love them!!

I hope everyone is enjoying the season! I am off to take a post-holiday breather out of town for a few days. I'm making a point not to jump on messages/mail until Sunday so if there is something urgent please text or message me here, otherwise I will sort out regular business in a few days. Thanks and looking forward to a terrific 2017!
Happy Holidays!! It's our busiest time of year but we are not quite booked up yet! If you are in need of last minute pet sitting, dog walks, kitty visits, etc please email me at [email protected] or call 703-216-6232
Attention Clients: My business phone is currently dead. It has to spend the night at Verizon and will be looked at tomorrow sometime. I can't receive texts or check messages, so if you need to communicate please email me at [email protected] or contact your walker directly. Hopefully it will be a quick fix tomorrow! Thanks!
Today, one of our longtime friends. "Angus" crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. He was one of my very first midday dog walks over 10 years ago! My team has enjoyed taking care of him over the years and are so sad we won't be seeing his sweet face. His loving owners, Karen and Rob, gave their whole hearts to his care the past few years and he knew he was loved by all. Goodbye sweet boy, we will miss you so much.
Handsome Jake enjoying the cold morning!
They may look like horses, but these gorgeous giant harlequin Danes are perfect gentlemen and prefer a good snuggle over playtime 😆🐶
Rain rain go away 😊
It's a busy Labor Day weekend but with these beautiful faces to greet me I'll be smiling 😀🐶
I am looking to do some hiring in the next few weeks for my dog walking/pet sitting business of nearly 11 years. Due to changes in our family schedule I will have to reduce my workload significantly this coming year, especially for pet sitting jobs that require multiple visits per day. I would love to hire one or two more people that are interested in pet sitting work in the South Riding/Stone Ridge/Aldie area while the client is out of town. This requires anywhere from 1-4 visits/day to a clients' home to care for their pets, 20-30 minutes per visit. Dog will require anywhere from 2-4 visits (minimum morning and evening), cats 1-2 visits per day (usually one). MUST be dependable, able to work independently within the times and instructions given by the client, be 18+ years old, have a working vehicle, and professional work ethic.
If you know someone who might be an excellent fit for this type of position (or if it's you!) please email [email protected]. Ideally I'd like to hire sooner than later. Thank you!!
"But mom lets me out all the time, I swear I won't run after the birds this time!"
Handsome Jasper! A new friend for us, he's quite a gentleman.
R.I.P. to beautiful Daisy. She had a long, wonderful life with an incredible family. We are so privileged to have been part of her days. She is free of pain now and chasing squirrels on endless fields.
Beautiful Smudge, check out her reflection in the wood floor 😀
A new friend... Harper!
Named after a baseball player some of you may have heard of 😉
I don't know, I feel like I'm being watched or something 😂
Hunter likes to carry sticks on his walks, when you're this cute you can do whatever you want!! ❤️
Like yesterday, we are closed for business along with local and Federal governments. Conditions are still treacherous and some of our walkers are still snowed in. Hopefully things will improve tomorrow and there are open sidewalks for us to walk the pups!
It's a winter wonderland out there for sure! The Federal Government is closed for Monday, January 25th which means Suburban Tails is closed for business as well. Everyone please stay safe out there!
If you are a pet owner and do Elf on the Shelf, please make sure he's in a safe area during the day. This is what I walked into today at a clients house...with a very guilty Viszla hiding in her crate 😉
