Hello friends ! Gwen here !!

Many kind folks have asked how they can support me after the assault from BPD Officer Gonzalez and the series of unfortunate events since - getting the boot from our old shop landlord & having to quickly relocate, pricey cancer-removal surgery for a foster pup that came to us on an emergency basis but has had to spend 5 months with us while we sort out his medical & behavioral needs & , most recently, a pretty serious cat bite which has me out of work for another week. This is all on top of several weeks of missed work due to the concussion & other injuries I received 3/11 along with my currently reduced capacity to work while still dealing with symptoms from the concussion & trauma of the assault.

Please feel free to share, even if you can’t donate! Please do not donate if it is financially challenging or if you have already contributed in some other way!!! My sisters kindly set up a gofundme awhile ago, which meet and beat its goal thanks to our wonderful community!! But the hits keep coming and the offers to help have led me to make this fundraiser for the medical expenses both Gideon & I have accumulated over the past two months. We are moving! 🎉

We are leaving our smaller shop in South Burlington for a more spacious and bright location in Winooski near the circle. With more grooming space that will have private grooming rooms, extended retail and other offerings and events planned; we are so excited to be sharing this next chapter with you! ✨

For those of you that have upcoming appointments after 4/6/2026, please reach out to us ahead of time if this will change anything for you. 🗓️

If you need to reschedule or cancel, please be sure to do it well before your appt day, as spring gets very busy and we are expecting an influx of new clientele. We want to make sure we can serve our loyal clients first! We will be sending out a similar message in our mobile booking app as well. 🐾

We can’t wait to share our new space with you and thank you for being patient with us as we’ve had staff out with injuries and illness these past few weeks. We genuinely can’t wait to share this new locale with everyone! 😀

Hello! Gwen’s sister Lucy here!

As many of you know, we are a small and family run and operated business, (just three of us!) and we’ve recently gone through a string of unfortunate circumstances that have kept things from running as usual, limited our typical intake, and has forced us to move appointments around!

As Gwen continues to recover from a concussion , handling bookings has become extra challenging as she has to avoid screen-time. We know just how busy spring gets and we see your requests, we please ask for your continued support and understanding while Gwen navigates recovery, and the rest of us try to catch up in the meantime!

We promise we will be getting back to many of you as soon as possible and we hope to come with more exciting news in the near future!

‼️URGENT CALL FOR FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT !! ‼️

Gideon needs your help! Please read below + share this post to help us find a foster or, better yet, a foster-to-adopt home for Gideon!
Through no fault of his own, Gideon found himself living in the very stressful environment of a motel.
We took him on as it was us or the street for this poor boy.

This goofy, snuggly 8 year old Catahoula Leopard pup is desperately in need of a foster home that better suits his needs. He has been living with the shop owner, Gwen, since January. While she loves having him, he is not in an environment that is suitable for him. He finds living in a condo in the city stressful and needs out ASAP!!!

Gideon’s ideal foster can provide the following :
- A fenced yard (this is a MUST) !
- Loving companionship featuring plenty of couch snuggles.
- Consistent, positive reinforcement training (with plenty of treats!).
- A semi-active foster parent who can throw his frisbee or ball for him. He LOVES to chase balls and frisbees and he is getting better at bringing them back !

Gideon’s specifics :
- Can be with female dogs with a proper introduction but has shown aggression towards male dogs (likely due to being fixed later on in life).
- Great with cats and respectful of any boundaries they set!
-Does well with strangers in the home & will snuggle up to anyone but has shown leash reactivity and lunging behaviors towards strangers when out on walks.
-A low-grade cancerous mass has manifested in his front right leg. & VT Pet Guardians will sponsor the care for addressing this issue!
- No testing has been done with children but we believe he would be fine with kids as long as they are not toddlers & younger. He does not know his size (45 lbs) and could knock them over!

Peep these glow ups we were honored to give newest canine residents!
Anyone who knows that who knows us knows that we absolutely love rescues and the incredible work they do. We always encourage people to adopt rather than shop!
These small sweeties were recently rescued from a local breeding operation and after some TLC and a spa day with us (check out those before photos!), they can’t wait for a fresh start with new families to love!! 💕💕💕

Queen City Paw Spa stands with the students of Minneapolis & all of our migrant neighbors!

We will be closed tomorrow, 1/30/26, in solidarity with all of those being oppressed by ICE. Last Friday, Minnesotans came together and shut the Twin Cities down! They’ve shown the way for all of us — to stop ICE’s reign of terror, we need to SHUT IT DOWN.
Now is the time to take a stand. If we all shut it down, we can stop the killings and the kidnappings, and end Trump’s war on our most basic rights!
Support the call from Minnesota’s Black and Somali student organizations: this Friday, join the national day of action - no work, no school, no shopping - and join us in the streets in Burlington at 3PM!

🚨EMERGENCY FOSTER NEEDED🚨

Hi folks!!! Saturday night we were contacted about a pup in need of immediate foster otherwise he and his mom faced losing their motel room & they’d both be on the street.

BACKSTORY: Gideon is an 8 year old, intact, male, pittie/catahoula mix. His mom has had him since he was 6 weeks old. They were served a “no-cause” eviction from their apartment in Winooski and have been living in motels ever since. His mom works full-time at costco but due to a no cause eviction, is having a hard time finding housing despite being able to pay the $2400+ a month to live in the hotel.

We met with mom and Gideon Saturday night and he was hyper and a bit barky. As soon as we got outside, he relaxed significantly. The tension left his body. Like our other foster, Boosie, I believe the instability of bouncing around from motel to motel, the hours spent in the room by himself and the neglect/potential abuse at the hands of his mom’s roommates has led to him to exhibit stress-related behaviors such as jumping and barking. In the brief time we have had him, he has relaxed significantly. He loves snuggling on the couch, chasing tennis balls in the dog park, getting belly rubs and indulging in treats of any and all kinds. He grew up with a kitty bestie and does well with cats and most dogs! We would not recommend that he goes to a home with children because he is a bigger boy, 55 lbs, who is still working on his manners with regard to jumping / lunging out of excitement. While he has some work to do on-leash (he’s a puller! ) he knows sit, lie down, paw and he can even crawl! PS don’t let his age fool you, this fellow has plenty of pep in his step!!

He has neuter appointment scheduled with & is up-to-date on all of his vaccinations. As a foster for us, you would receive all supplies, medical appointments and pet sitting assistance free of charge! If you may be able to open your home to foster him, even for a short period of time, please comment below and we’ll PM you!!!

PUPDATE #3 & Dad-update!
Freya met with the very kind foster yesterday & went home with them. She will stay in the foster home until her dad is able to secure pet-friendly housing or when springtime comes and they can go back out on the Appalachian trail. This lady loves to hike & hunt! But... you wouldn’t know it with how much she has taken to her foster’s couch! This lovely lil miss is settling in nicely and grateful to be in a warm home. She will be spayed by the kind folks at HSCC in January. Thank you to ALL of you who helped them into Motel 6, donated funds, supplies & time to help this sweet girl and her dad out! I am truly blown away by this community!
Her dad is presently at the waystation at COTS where he will be able to focus on the housing hunt & have access to washer/dryers, food, & a warm bed. He’s starting this journey off with a whole wardrobe of warmer gear & desperately needed essentials. All of this is thanks to all of you!
I will post periodic updates &will soon provide details on my plans for a task force to address the many similar situations faced by our unhoused community members. Thanks so much!

UPDATE : The lovely Madde Fan put this sweet nugget & her pops up in Motel 6 for the weekend and Jason Upton was so very kind in purchasing a cushy bed, large bag of food, new bowl and big box of treats for sweet Freya! We have a a potential foster set for a meet & greet in a few days but please keep spreading the word! Yall are incredible! Her dad really can’t believe all of the kindnesses you are showing him & Freya.
