I needed some time before I could get this out…
As we closed February and are closing out on Winter, PITV and Uncle Greg’s Wolfpack lost its heart and soul, as we said goodbye to Murray on Feb. 26th.
He was my last original Paws dog…been with me for 6.5 years. He’s known almost every dog that I’ve come across since then. The mornings, days, nights, late nights, and overnights with this boy were countless. We’ve spent every Christmas and/or New Year’s together. We’ve been through every experience/emotion in the book…too many to write about.
Through everything, Murray kept cruising with me. His physical and mental health amazed me. Unfortunately, we all know that can’t last forever…
Murray turned 16 in February…his health had been gracefully declining…
You know, it’s hard to see your best friend go from, one who I felt the safest with at night, to one who felt the safest with me. It was also the greatest privilege.
Amazingly, Murray kept chugging along with the pack. They all knew that their “big brother” was slowing down…and they all looked out for him.
My last week with Murray was the best that I could’ve asked for. He was able to see some of the gang, hang with Koda who he’s known since Koda’s puppyhood, feel snow, and then the leaves from last fall, views of Mystic Lake, got some muddy paws, felt the breeze in his face while riding in the car, and just felt life for one last time.
…my best friend for the last 6.5 years. I have a massive hole in my heart, but he’s with Abby and the rest of the friends that we’ve lost together. I hope that, when it’s my time, he will be waiting for me.
I will never, ever forget my man Murray. ❤️
It was only fitting that Murray passed the seniority crown to Koda…who btw, lives on Murray St.
My life will never be the same. 💔
Adam, Sara, and Isaac…I love you guys. ❤️
I have 1000 pictures of Murray…here are a few.
