🧯 PET FIRE SAFETY AWARENESS 🐾

Emergencies can happen when we least expect them, and our pets rely on us to be ready. July 15 was Pet Fire Safety Day, so it’s the perfect time for a few quick reminders:

🚪 Place a pet alert sticker on your door/window to let first responders know how many animals are inside and what species they are.
🔔 Test your smoke alarms regularly
🚫 Never leave pets unattended near open flames or stovetops.
🏷️ Keep leashes, crates, or carriers near exits for easy access and ID tags/microchip info UTD!
🧯 Have an escape plan that includes your furry family members.

✨ I recently ordered a few extra Pet Alert window decals (like the one pictured here) and would love to share them with any of my clients who don’t already have one. If you’d like one, just let me know and I’ll happily bring it along during our next visit!

Hi everyone!
Today is my first day back after a few days off, and I’m so happy to be reunited with all my furry friends again! 🐾
While I’m out on my usual walks today, I’ll be catching up on administrative tasks this evening. Thank you in advance for your patience as I get fully caught up. As a solo business owner, I truly appreciate your understanding and support!

I also wanted to mention that it seems some clients missed the heads-up I shared about my time off. I did post several reminders beforehand, but I know how easy it is to miss things in busy feeds and inboxes. That said, I’d love to find a better way to keep everyone informed going forward, whether it’s through social media, email, or even a little weekly update left on your counter during visits. 📝

If you have a preferred method of receiving updates, feel free to let me know! My goal is always to keep communication clear, helpful, and easy to access.

Just a heads up - there is a heat advisory in effect for our area. I will not be keeping dogs out past 10-15 minutes as a result of this. If you’d prefer your dogs get a full walk on a different day, please contact me asap!

4th of July is almost here! 🇺🇸

Is your dog nervous during fireworks? Now is the time to refill their anti anxiety meds! 💊
Never DIY with home remedies - these can make your dog’s anxiety worse.
Remember - vet help is prep, not weakness!

Create a safe zone for them!
Cover a crate, use a noise maker or loud fan, gather favorite toys and blankets together. This place should be predictable for them and comfortable!

Desensitize with sounds! (This does not work for all!)
Play low volume firework sounds 1-2x per day, pairing that with high value toys and treats. Gradually increase volume over time, never too much that it will startle them!

Make sure microchip information is UTD & ID tags are on your dogs at all times. Even if your dog is not a known runner, plan for the panic. More dogs go missing on 4th of July (and other heavy firework display holidays) than any other day!

And please remember - dogs never enjoy fireworks, leave them home in their safe space or with a sitter when you go to enjoy the local displays. 🎆
