We weren't allowed to have dogs where I lived, so we adopted "dumpster" cats instead. It wasn't until I was out of the Army that I was given my first dog, Jack Daniels, an Olde English Bulldogge. Jack Daniels was eventually trained as my service dog which he excelled at doing. In 2009 I started to volunteer with a local dog rescue in Arizona. The foster homes they had available could not take in l
arge dogs, so when they received a call about an American Bulldog, I jumped at the opportunity to help out. Her name was Roxy and she was an extremely sweet dog, but her prey drive became dangerous and we had to rehome her. Not long after rehoming Roxy, I met my (now) husband and we began to foster the large breed dogs that no one else had the space for. My husband and I had separate houses which allowed us to foster more dogs than most couples. Although we began fostering dogs for a local rescue, we went out on our own and began to rescue, rehabilitating, and rehome dogs independently. While living in Arizona, the majority of our rescue dogs were German Shepherds. We have learned many things over the years and we continue to grow as we remain in dog rescue although not through fostering. We moved to Georgia in 2015 at which time we planned to take a good break from rescue. Unfortunately, there was a puppy that needed our help so we accepted an owner surrender. He was adopted by an awesome family, with whom we remain in contact with. We have had other dogs come through our home, as an independent rescue. When you have your own dogs, fostering can be difficult sometimes. Now, due to our current lifestyle, we don't accept owner surrenders, nor do we take dogs in as an independant rescue. My poor husband suffers with "rescue fatigue" so I have to find other means of helping out the dog rescue community. I love taking part in the transportation of rescued dogs from the shelters to their foster homes, or from their foster homes to their forever homes. I've been blessed with creativity so I also help dog rescues through fundraising, selling my personal creations. This page is dedicated to promoting the sale of my items in addition to posting fundraising events for the rescues I volunteer with. All items I sell will include the name and contact information for the rescue it supports. All profits made are forwarded to the named rescue. If you have any suggestions or would like to help support one of the named rescues, please send me a private message. I would be happy to include you on this page. Thank you for your support
