1 year and 5 days ago Minnie was born here to Tilly and Leopold. Her mom, Tilly, over cleaned her after she was born and took off an ear. I half heartedly looked for a home for her knowing she needed just the right person. On May 16th this year, she found the right person, a rabbitry friend over at Honey bun hollands. She has a few other rabbits from me, and I knew she was the perfect fit.
As I spent time with Minnie through this past year I started calling her Minnie Mae when I would talk to her. She hated all bucks to begin with and I was about to give up hope. Then she paired with Theodore and had one survivor in a litter of 4. Maisie was her little girl, and Minnie thought the world of her. I knew it would be hard for her to lose Minnie when she went to her new home, so I bred her to Koda. Around that time it worked out that Honey bun hollands asked me about any does I might have. I knew it was time for Minnie to find her person and I knew this is who I wanted her with.
Congratulations to Honey bun hollands and Minnie on your beautiful litter. And thank you for giving her the best life!

Life is funny. And sometimes it can make you question your sanity.
Yesterday, my daughter helped me take the pictures of my 6 chocolate babies. I searched the nesting box like I was looking for a $100 bill to make sure nobody was hiding. I don’t usually do this but I checked 1-2-3 times. And all I came up with was 6.
Well,I was wrong. We have 7 beautiful chocolate babies.
As you can see she does not hold back when it comes time to pull fur. And somehow in all my searching I missed a little one tucked away somewhere.

Meadow and Theodore’s kits. They are 4 weeks old today! I named this litter “One of these things is not like the others”. I have paired Meadow and Leopold (Theodore’s sire) many times and they always give me a wide array of colors. So when I paired Theodore with Meadow for the first time, I was kind of expecting the same thing. We ended up with 7 black and 1 BEW. 😁
