A Bernedoodle tail is truly a labor of patience. After a shave, the body coat often returns quickly, but those long, beautiful tail furnishings grow on their own timeline. The tail hairs have a longer growth cycle and need time not only to grow back, but to regain their length, texture, and signature plume. Sometimes the prettiest coats simply can’t be rushed. ✨🐾

Forecast: 100% chance of zoomies 🤣 Do you stop to dance in the rain? One of our favorite things about puppies is the way they find magic in the ordinary. A rainy day? Just another reason to play, explore, and dance through life. 🐾✨ www.peachandpawmetto.com

Not every dog is meant to be an ESA, therapy dog, or service dog… and that’s exactly why temperament matters. ✨

While every puppy is special, these roles require more than being sweet and loved. They require emotional stability, confidence, resilience, a willingness to learn, human connection, and the ability to navigate the world calmly.

At Peach & Pawmetto, temperament is at the heart of everything we do. From the very beginning, we are observing who our puppies naturally are — how they respond, recover, engage, and connect. We intentionally hold back puppies who show exceptional temperament, confidence, and biddability because these qualities are the foundation of the future generations we are working so carefully to develop.

Temperament is both nature and nurture. Genetics give us the foundation, but our daily commitment helps shape each puppy’s potential. Through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), Early Scent Introduction (ESI), intentional handling, early socialization, and thoughtful desensitization to everyday sights and sounds, we help our puppies build confidence and adaptability from their earliest days.

Vacuum cleaners, grooming tools, household noises, new textures, different environments, new experiences — these small moments add up. They help create dogs who are better prepared to approach the world with curiosity instead of fear.

Our goal is not to promise that every puppy will become an ESA, therapy, or service dog — because not every dog is suited for those roles. Our goal is to consistently nurture stable, confident, people-focused companions and recognize the individuals who truly have the qualities needed for more specialized work.

Great dogs don’t happen by accident. They are the result of intentional pairings, thoughtful raising, and a commitment to protecting the temperaments we believe in. 🐾✨ www.PeachandPawmetto.com

✨ December Litter Waitlist Update ✨

We are so grateful for the incredible families who have already joined our December (and even our Spring & Summer 27) litter waitlist. 🤍🐾

We officially have only 3 reservation spots remaining for this upcoming pairing due in December!

Each of our puppies is raised with intention, so much love, and a focus on giving them the very best foundation before they ever leave our home. From thoughtful pairing decisions, early socialization, and temperament-focused placement, our goal is always to help each puppy find the family where they will truly thrive.

If you’ve been dreaming about adding a Peach & Pawmetto puppy to your family, now is the perfect time to reach out. 🍑🐾

Once these final spots are reserved, our December waitlist will be closed - additional availability (pending litter size) will be open to families on our other waitlists first prior to any listings.

We cannot wait to watch this special litter grow and meet the families they were meant for. 🤍 www.peachandpawmetto.com

Today I had one of those moments that reminded me exactly why we do what we do. 🤍

While picking up a Target order, we saw a little boy sitting in the back of a pickup truck holding a sign that read:

“Free Doodle Puppies”

And my heart sank.

Not because those puppies weren’t worthy of love — every puppy is. But because of all the unknowns.

Where will those puppies end up? Were their future families prepared for the commitment? Were temperament, health, socialization, and lifelong support considered? And what happens if the reality of raising a puppy becomes more than someone expected?

As breeders, it may seem ironic that we require our companion puppies to be placed on a spay/neuter contract. But responsible breeding isn’t about creating more puppies — it’s about protecting the dogs we bring into this world.

Our puppies are required to be spayed or neutered at an appropriate age (typically between 10 months and 1 year depending on size, maturity, and veterinary recommendation) because we believe in responsible pet ownership and responsible stewardship of our dogs and the lines we are entrusted with.

Every pairing we do is intentional. Every puppy we raise matters. And every dog from our program will always be our responsibility.

We require spay/neuter contracts because we want to ensure we are never contributing to the growing number of dogs without committed, prepared homes. We believe every dog deserves a family that was chosen thoughtfully and intentionally.

This is also why our puppies are microchipped with lifetime registration — because if one of our dogs was ever lost, displaced, or at risk of surrender, we want to make sure they always have a way back to us.

Responsible breeding doesn’t end when a puppy leaves our home.

It means protecting them, advocating for them, and standing behind them for life. 🐾 Pictured: Tucker and his family✨🐾
