Buttercup is at a temporary place right now. But is looking for a rescue to take her. Please do not call and harass people! That is why some info isn't released so people don't harass everyone...this makes people and organizations not want to help next time if they are being harassed. However, if you are a rescue and can take Buttercup then please let us know.

This is very sad, but it looks as if Buttercup will be euthanized...

We have been trying to find her a rescue for quite some time now. We even raised enough $$$ and got her SPAYED & FULLY VETTED, but it looks like that may have been a waste, since Buttercup's time is long up and we have no options for this wonderful girl. She has been in a Minnesota pound for a veeeery long time and although they have been patient they are letting us know that Buttercup needs to go.

I thought that i'd send out one last plea for Buttercup's life. Please, please pass this on if you know any good, responsible rescuers who may save her. We are super sad about this, as Buttercup doesn't deserve to die... Buttercup is 1-2 years old, spayed & vaccinated, sweet, loooves people & gets along with other pooches but does not like cats. THIS IS EXTREMELY URGENT... :(

I guess that even though it looks like we will not be able to save her, at least maybe she will be remembered by some...

To be able to help all of these dogs (nearly 90 of them!) we are helping to place them all into great rescue organizations so they can go into loving foster homes to be socialized, have all of their medical needs taken care of, and be rehabilitated before they will be adopted to fabulous forever families. Please help by choosing to sponsor a dog.

The Paws for the Cause website is all about letting people know what we are doing with animal rescuing and rehoming, and developing a program to help people spay/ neuter their companion animals...

Here's the notice that is in the Sota:http://earthskyweb.com/sota.pdf"NOTICENo Dogs AllowedThe Sisseton-Wahpeton Housing Authority, by unanimous Board approval on September 13,2010, did determine it is in the best interest of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Housing Authority to banishall dogs from all housing sites owned and operated by the Sisseton-Wahpeton housing Authority.This policy would go into effect on January 1, 2011, and would not apply to Seeing Eye Dogs.There have been too many incidents, altercations and vicious attacks caused by dogs in oursites. We understand the inconvenience this may cause some tenants but it is the Board’s positionthe incidents and altercations far outweigh the benefits. We apologize to the responsible tenants;however, we feel this is the best procedures to deal with the situation. Safety is our major concern.One vicious dog attack is too many.Therefore, if you are residing in properties owned and operated by the Sisseton-WahpetonHousing Authority (SWHA) this is official notification to remove your dog from our propertiesby December 31, 2010. Your dog does not have to be destroyed but it cannot remain on SWHAproperties. If dogs are not removed by the established policy date, legal action will commence at thetenant’s expense. Although extreme, legal action may include eviction procedures.In accordance with Chapter 54, Sections 54-03-01 through 54-03-03 of the Sisseton-WahpetonOyate’s Constitution and By-Laws, the Sisseton-Wahpeton Housing Authority maintains theauthority to capture, detain and deliver to, or notify the proper authorities of any untagged dog orproperly tagged dog found running at large in our housing sites, which is within the jurisdictionof the Lake Traverse Reservation. In the event the dog is found to be ferocious, vicious, or in adangerous disposition, the said proper authorities may destroy the dog.Thank you for your cooperation in this sensitive matter.Sisseton-Wahpeton Housing Authority

ND: Found very thin female black and white pit bull/mix? will be euthanized Thursday afternoon if no rescue group will take her. She was found so thin you could see her spine but in spite of that she still crawled into the finders lap and wanted to be cuddled and give licks. Please forward/cross-post... Thanks! These dogs are in the tribal pound and we don't have room to save them all. One is very pregnant. Can anyone save any of these dogs? They are obviously dog-friendly! :) Thank you for considering saving any of these beauties...

ey everyone, please, PLEASE help!!! This beautiful boy is currently in a local impound and his time is up- Rocky will be euthanized on Friday!!! Rocky is an adult at 3-5 years old- they don't know much about him, but he's very friendly with people and seems fine with the other dogs at the pound (has not been cat tested). He needs some leash training but he should be easy to train since he's eager to please! Rocky is a favorite of the kennel workers and they really don't want to see him euthanized... Can anyone please save poor Rocky??? He must go to a rescue that will neuter and do a home visit prior to adoption and must adopt as an indoor dog only... HELP!!!
