Our Story

About Us

As life-long pet owners, passionate rescue advocates, and all-around animal lovers, we understand how difficult and frustrating it can be to care for a pet with chronic health issues. Itchy skin, allergies, leaky guts, ear infections and cancers are some of the more common ailments plaguing our pets today. Our dog, Toby, suffered with irritable bowel and weight issues for over a decade before we discovered that the popular food we were feeding him was the culprit behind his health issues.

We spent significant resources investing in prescription diets and medications marketed to alleviate Toby’s discomfort. Our quest for answers, and a long-held desire to advocate for pet rescue, ultimately led us to EarthWise. We felt an instant connection with this west coast born company and believed that their commitment to environmental sustainability, biologically appropriate diets, responsible ingredient sourcing, and pet rescue, would resonate with the Sioux Falls pet community.

Through our work with nutrition experts at EarthWise, we transitioned Toby to a biologically appropriate diet and following a short, week-long transition, a new Toby emerged! Gone were the loose stools and rumbling tummy and soon, the excess weight that had stubbornly refused to budge, began to drop off as well. What seemed like a miracle was, quite simply, the right nutrition.
