This girl is ready for fetch, fun, and a foster couch!

CCA is mid-renovation, and Eve is ready for a softer place to land.

Eve does not do half-hearted happy. Rescued from a complicated start and motherhood far too young, she is now making up for lost time with every toy toss, zoomie, and victory lap she can collect. She is bouncy, playful, and always ready for whatever activity the day has to offer. Since Eve has never truly had the chance to learn home life, she would benefit from a foster who can offer patience, direction, and the chance to figure it all out one happy little step at a time.

Her ideal foster setup:
• Best with playful male dog friends
• Someone patient and steady
• Happy to help her learn home life
• Appreciates a silly, high-spirited girl
• Adult-only home
• No cats

Eve is 3 years old, spayed, microchipped, and UTD on vaccinations. Supplies are provided, and you’ll have a point of contact for support.

Our dogs are accepting vacation homes. 🐾

CCA is in renovation mode, which is wonderful for the shelter and deeply inconvenient for the dogs who did not approve the construction soundtrack.

We’re looking for Doggy Vacay Fosters to give a few shelter dogs a quieter place to test a couch, supervise snack distribution, and take a break from the renovation department.

A weekend, a week, or longer if you’re able. We provide the supplies and a point of contact to help along the way.

Fostering gives our dogs relief from the noise and routine changes, while helping us learn who they are in a home. The shelter tells us a lot, but a foster home tells us the good stuff.

And yes, foster-to-adopt is absolutely an option if your “vacation guest” starts looking suspiciously like family.

Over the next few days, we’ll introduce the dogs currently applying for temporary vacation homes.

FOSTER SPOTLIGHT: DARTH TATER 🖤

Darth Tater is in foster, and apparently his main personality traits are snuggles, suspicious athleticism, and being just a little bit weird on purpose.

He is that very specific kind of black cat who can be curled up beside you like a velvet loaf one minute, then suddenly tearing through the room like he has somewhere important to be and no idea where that is.

Foster notes on The Tater:

• Cuddly, but not clingy
• Independent, but still sweet
• A little awkward in the best way
• Big fan of laser toy drama
• Dedicated toy mouse hunter
• Prone to surprise zoomie outbreaks
• Best with a playful, snuggly female cat friend

Darth Tater is looking for a home that appreciates a cat with layers. He likes affection, but he is not trying to become a scarf. He enjoys his independence, but he still wants a person nearby to admire his strange little choices.

Sprinkle went into foster care during our shelter renovations and, very professionally, decided she would not be moving back. 🙈❤️

Her foster family fell in love, and now our sweet girl is officially home with the same wonderful family who adopted our precious Bitsie.

Sprinkle has always been a little Velcro kitty with other cats, so knowing she has a loving family and a kitty friend makes this adoption extra special.
