Fun Fact Friday

Not all sutures are the same, they come in all different shapes and colors!

There are different ways to close different injuries. Non-dissolvable sutures, staples, or regular sutures are used for certain types of wounds, especially those under a lot of tension. Some wounds are able to stay open to help heal naturally to prevent infection.

Apollo here required a suture removal since his did not dissolve on their own. We like pets to keep them in 14-21 days after applying. He did perfect for the removal and stood like a statue! 🩶

These two sweet pups are looking for a fur-ever home! 🏠 🐶🩷

Blanche and Dorothy are two 6mo old mixes that were found by a Good Samaritan, but she cannot keep them long term.

They were checked by our Veterinarian here, both were found to be happy and healthy. Dorothy is currently healing from a back leg fracture that may require arthritis management in her future. Blanche is currently happy to be here and snuggle with her sister. These sweet baby girls would love to call a comfy place home.
