Hey guys, I just wanted to put a post out to thank all of our customers who put faith in us for our first season of business. It was definitely busy and chaotic but we learned so much. We are so excited to take everything we have learned this season and put forth in our growth for the years ahead. We could not be here with out each and everyone of you.
On another note, don't forget about specialties!! We will be accepting meat in starting Monday January 6th. Please make sure the meat is clean and hair free or there will be a cleaning charge. We can still do basic processes as well.
If you have a skull here with us, I appreciate your patience. It was very difficult to spend anytime on skulls while we were trying to keep up with the deer in the cooler. We have finally been able to get going smoothly on them and our colony is getting faster and faster everyday. The degreasing part is a time consuming but very important process. In order to get rid of the grease it takes time for them to soak and each deer is different as to how greasy they are. If this process is rushed it will lead to the grease coming back through down the road leading to yellow skulls, which we do not want.
We will continue taking in meat and skulls throughout the year so don't feel that since hunting season is over we are closed. I will be updating our hours to Monday- Friday 8-5 until paddlefishing and then the hours will change again during that time.
Thank you all again so much in your part in helping Blades become successful. We hope to continue growing to be the best we can for many years to come!!
