Samuel Pack Elliott (b. August 9, 1944) is celebrated as one of the great American screen actors of his generation. With his signature mustache, rugged presence, and resonant voice, he has brought unforgettable characters to life for more than five decades. His career has been marked with critical acclaim, including a Screen Actors Guild Award, a National Board of Review Award, and nominations for the Academy Awards, Golden Globes, and Emmys.
Elliott reached new heights with his role in A Star Is Born (2018), which earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He continued to expand his legacy with his portrayal of Shea Brennan in 1883, winning the Screen Actors Guild Award for his outstanding performance in a limited series.
