Hey Golden Fam! We took a few weeks off posting to spend some time with our last 3 available pups and in the midst of all the chaos with 4 puppies, they have all went home! Here's an update on our last 3 babies.
Lila (Now Nova) went home to Utah to live a killer life with 2 other goldens that have a fabulous home and such a great family. We were so happy for her to have found a fabulous family after multiple failed commitments.
Tan Man (now Rocky) got to go home to his new family and I am so happy for him! The family just got a new house and wanted to make sure everything was settled and perfect for him. I love that for them and him! He's got an adorable kiddo that he's going to be best friends with (I could tell instantly). Luckily he was raised on the south end of an Idaho Butte so that Wyoming wind will be nothing new to him ;)
Then there's Yellow (now Ekko). This boy was a bittersweet one to watch go. From the get-go I knew he needed to be in some form of either a ESA or Service dog. Luckily the right person came and met him and it was instant. I knew the second she walked in and he greeted her it was his person. Then for the next hour he proved it in every test she did with him. He now gets to go do service for her and honestly, I am so damn proud of him. He's going to do so well and be such a good partner to her.
In the midst of Nova leaving and Rocky meeting his new family, unfortunately one of our Golden Families had a major family change that caused them to make a really difficult decision. Our Black collar boy (Goose) got the opportunity to come back to us. Our goal as a small time breeder is simple. Do whatever is best for our puppies, no matter what. This is why we always include in our contract paperwork that if any circumstance (literally any) causes our families to have to give up their puppy/adult dog even, we need to know and be given the opportunity to take them back or help place them in their new home. We never, ever want to see our babies that we spend so much time and work with end up in a situation they find themselves in a pound. We make that commitment to all our babies and emphasize that to our future pup homes that no questions asked (well, maybe a few just to make sure we know special needs or info about the pup :D). We are so incredibly proud of Goose's family to make a difficult decision like return him even though they had fell so deeply in love with him.
With that being said I wanted to keep him to ourselves for a week to assess him and provide some stability in his life and gauge his habits, quirks and personality changes since we last had him in our home. Now that we have had that time to be able to see that, the little fluff ball is available. I will be doing some screening on potential homes just to ensure he doesn't find himself in this situation again (or try as hard as possible to prevent that). If anyone is interested in a sweetheart of a pup that literally wears his heart on his face, is super gentle with small children, potty trained and crate trained, reach out. I'd love to find him a special home to go into with never-ending love because he sure deserves it.
