This little spicy nugget got to go to bear lake last weekend and have his first real experience with water. He had so much fun and got so worn out. Those bunny hops kill me 🤣. He did so good though and I love to see how much he’s grown the past few weeks. He’s too smart for his own good sometimes. But after we left he was OUT cold and was extra snuggly the next morning.

Hey Golden Fam! We took a few weeks off posting to spend some time with our last 3 available pups and in the midst of all the chaos with 4 puppies, they have all went home! Here's an update on our last 3 babies.

Lila (Now Nova) went home to Utah to live a killer life with 2 other goldens that have a fabulous home and such a great family. We were so happy for her to have found a fabulous family after multiple failed commitments.

Tan Man (now Rocky) got to go home to his new family and I am so happy for him! The family just got a new house and wanted to make sure everything was settled and perfect for him. I love that for them and him! He's got an adorable kiddo that he's going to be best friends with (I could tell instantly). Luckily he was raised on the south end of an Idaho Butte so that Wyoming wind will be nothing new to him ;)

Then there's Yellow (now Ekko). This boy was a bittersweet one to watch go. From the get-go I knew he needed to be in some form of either a ESA or Service dog. Luckily the right person came and met him and it was instant. I knew the second she walked in and he greeted her it was his person. Then for the next hour he proved it in every test she did with him. He now gets to go do service for her and honestly, I am so damn proud of him. He's going to do so well and be such a good partner to her.

In the midst of Nova leaving and Rocky meeting his new family, unfortunately one of our Golden Families had a major family change that caused them to make a really difficult decision. Our Black collar boy (Goose) got the opportunity to come back to us. Our goal as a small time breeder is simple. Do whatever is best for our puppies, no matter what. This is why we always include in our contract paperwork that if any circumstance (literally any) causes our families to have to give up their puppy/adult dog even, we need to know and be given the opportunity to take them back or help place them in their new home. We never, ever want to see our babies that we spend so much time and work with end up in a situation they find themselves in a pound. We make that commitment to all our babies and emphasize that to our future pup homes that no questions asked (well, maybe a few just to make sure we know special needs or info about the pup :D). We are so incredibly proud of Goose's family to make a difficult decision like return him even though they had fell so deeply in love with him.

With that being said I wanted to keep him to ourselves for a week to assess him and provide some stability in his life and gauge his habits, quirks and personality changes since we last had him in our home. Now that we have had that time to be able to see that, the little fluff ball is available. I will be doing some screening on potential homes just to ensure he doesn't find himself in this situation again (or try as hard as possible to prevent that). If anyone is interested in a sweetheart of a pup that literally wears his heart on his face, is super gentle with small children, potty trained and crate trained, reach out. I'd love to find him a special home to go into with never-ending love because he sure deserves it.

We had a busy weekend meeting 2 of our new golden families (in person and over phone). And I am so excited for Ekko (formerly yellow) and Rocky (tan man) to be going to their new homes soon.

Plus I gotta toot a horn for a minute. From about 3-4 weeks old I noticed yellow was different from the other babies. He was gentle, reserved, read the room and was perceptive. As he grew I knew he needed to go somewhere he could be used in a service capacity whether it be ESA or full fledged service pup. So we started filtering families for use of him to place him where he deserved to be to be happy and successful and finally we found the right home after MANY frustrating ā€œalmostsā€.

If I’ve learned nothing about raising pups (from our Yorkies to now goldens) it’s so incredibly rewarding to see our babies go into homes that are meant to be for them. Ekko was screened to see the potential of being a service dog. And he passed EVERY ONE. I am so proud of him and so excited to see how he learn and progresses and to see what an amazing boy he will be for his new owners. It’s so rewarding to see him excel and even seeing how many of our other babies are doing in their new homes. This is our why. Seeing them being successful and their new homes so happy makes every day worth it. The cost, the time, the love. It’s all worth it.

And check him out. Isn’t he just the best boy ever?! Go Ekko!

Our youngest hurt his foot and curls up on the couch pouting and before he knew it our baby who is so in tune with emotions crawled up on his lap and calmed him down. This is what I live for with these babies. I love seeing their drive and devotion to comfort and love.

Our oldest son is preparing for an outdoor adventure in 2 weeks for school and got new camping gear. So of course his brothers had to join in and the past 2 nights they’ve slept on the concrete outside. Of course, mama Nala had to supervise and she stayed all night with them. She was in heaven being outside all night. The 2nd photo was from our cameras when I checked in around midnight to see if they were asleep outside still.

I joke that Nala should’ve probably been born a husky because it’s hard to get her inside when it’s snowy because she absolutely loves it. Camping is her favorite thing because of the coolness. I’ve no doubt that Maverik is going to be much like her too. These dogs love the outdoors šŸ˜šŸ„°

Our dogs have gone through what is called early neurological stimulation. This shows what it does for the dogs as they grow. They don’t react to stimulus because they’ve been raised around it from birth.

These two cuties are still available (lila had another back out due to a family situation). Lila is a cute snuggler and eager to please. Tan man has turned into such a snuggler and loves to come along and be with you as much as possible.

Maverik and Nala got to do school pickup today. Someone was happy he got a slice of cheese for being a good boy too.

Our yellow boy is such a snuggler. He curled up right in my lap as soon as I got home from the store. This little guy is going to make someone very happy and very loved one day.

We had some good recall and I finally caught one towards the end of our practicing. He was pretty well over it at this time but we got one last recall in before we chased after the boys. To say he crashed hard on our way home is an understatement.
