Meet Easy ❤️

He's just a good old guy that deserves the softest of landings.
He is a 25 year old 15hh bay purebred Arabian gelding located in Shawboro, NC. His registered name is Bey Rum AF.

Easy has survived YEARS of starvation and neglect. It’s truly a wonder he’s alive! Since coming to us he has had extensive dental work, been vaccinated and has eaten a ton of groceries each month to gain adequate weight back. And tons of hoof care to get his toes back where they should be!

Now that he's fatter, happier, and feeling good, it's time for him to find the Arabian enthusiast who wants to spoil him rotten for the rest of his life!

If interested in adopting Easy, let's chat! Message us here or call/text 252-232-8228.

We're still accepting donations to offset his costs to the rescue. Consider sponsoring him until he's adopted?

It's time to meet our instructors... Welcome Cherisse and Christine!
Book your weekly lesson with one of them NOW!

We have lesson availability for homeschoolers or adults Monday, Wednesday, and Friday before 3pm! We have a waiting list for afterschool times.
And we're seeking VOLUNTEERS to help brush and lead ponies Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for our Teeny Tinies!

Greetings everyone! My name is Cherisse, and I am excited to be part of your journey with horses at SHARE. As one of SHARE’s newest instructors, I look forward to finding out your, or your child’s goals with horses and working as a team to grow in that journey.
A little about myself: My parents had a horse before I was even born, so horses have forever been a blessing in my life. Growing up on a horse farm enabled me to appreciate every moment spent working with and around horses-observing their herd dynamics in the pasture, working with them on new skills in the round pen, and riding them out on the trails. In college, I competed on our intercollegiate team all four years, but some of my best learning moments were spent watching a natural horsemanship trainer work with young horses as I did homework at the barn. It was then that I developed an appreciation for groundwork as a foundation for every horse. It is through this initial training that we set ourselves and our horses up for success in whatever we are asking them to do.
I have trained in both English and Western disciplines, and have been an instructor for both kids and adults for over 15 years. My experiences have taken me to various barns as both chore staff and as an instructor, so I have had the opportunity to work with horses of all breeds, backgrounds, and training. Additionally, I have been fortunate to travel to private individual’s farms to work with their own horses and help them build a stronger relationship through groundwork and riding. I firmly believe that learning horse care, management, groundwork, and riding, are all integral parts of being successful in the long-term journey with horses. Furthermore, I prioritize safety, building a bond with your lesson horse/pony, growth, fun, all in a positive and kind approach. At SHARE, we are fortunate to have the opportunity to work with rescue horses or ponies, and their journey becomes our journey. 💕 I look forward to meeting you! -Cherisse

Hi, I’m Christine — a lifelong horse lover, homeschooling mom of two, and proud to be part of the Southern Hope Animal Rescue and Education team. I grew up on a horse farm in southern Virginia, where I spent my childhood riding and showing hunter/jumper on my horse, Calypso.
Even as I pursued a career in systems engineering after college, I stayed active in the saddle — riding has always been a constant in my life. Now, I’m excited to combine my love for teaching with my passion for horses.
I focus on helping students build a strong foundation in the fundamentals while also encouraging confidence, connection, and a genuine appreciation for good horsemanship. Whether you're just starting out or looking to grow in your riding journey, I’m here to support and guide you every step of the way!

Just a little Benson and Boone update!

These 2 cuties are growing like weeds and getting more brave everyday. They’ve received more dewormer and their first vaccine. We believe they are now between 8-12 weeks old and most likely Walker Hounds. ❤️🐶🤩

For those of you just tuning in, a little over a month ago these poor souls were literally left on the side of a dirt road in the middle of nowhere to fend for themselves. Starving, scared, and full of parasites.

They are now ready for adoption, but separately! If interested in meeting either of them, please fill out an adoption application and make an appointment 💕

Don’t forget about Gwen! 🐴❤️

Do you love Arabian horses?

Gwen is as cute as they come! Her dainty little dished face and silly little prance are spectacular ❤️ She's an approximately 14 year old, 14.3hh purebred Arabian who is an inquisitive clean slate. She has overcome years of neglect and is ready for her forever person who will start or restart her. We are unsure if she was ever broke to saddle.
For more information about Gwen please message us or text 252-232-8228.

No hoof, no horse! 🐎

Each of the horses in our care gets a hoof trim every 4-5 weeks by a natural barefoot trimmer as part of their care routine. That’s $50 per horse every monthish! A vital investment to their health, however taxing on the rescues funds.

Please considering sponsoring a trim!
Lucy, Jasmine, Keegan, Easy, Gwen, Emmett, Tater, Bailey, Bravo, Dandy, Pedro, Dash ❤️🐴🙏

Happy Monday!! Who wants some puppy 🐶 love 💕
We need 3 fosters or adopters for this bunch!
We especially need help with Eeny…. She has a significant overbite and isn’t getting enough food fast enough before her litter mates gobble it up ❤️ yes, we’ve started to feed her separately but she’d still thrive more in her own home!

Check this bunch out! Adoption includes age appropriate vaccines and dewormer, microchip, and spay/ neuter!
