Slab City Springer Spaniels Focusing on generations of versatile, well bred English Springer Spaniels in Wisconsin!

Slab City Springers began over 20 years ago in Slab City Wi with Jay and Sue (Conover Wi) falling in love with the breed and what it all has to offer. The breed stuck with the family; Jared who now has Double Down Springers in Shawano Wi, Jen the main editor of this page and also located in Shawano Wi, and Ben and Megan who are a big part of the socialization of the puppies. We all take great prid

e in the 5 generations of dogs that we have been able to have as part of our family. We love the springer spaniel for its willingness to learn and for how diverse the breed truly is. From loving pets in the home, the obedience ring, dock diving, and the hunting fields our goal is to breed a springer that can do it all. Our adults are health tested for genetic traits that are important to the breed and we pay extremely close attention to the temperaments of the dogs that we choose are exceptional to pass on their genetics to the next generation. We currently are offering our liver and white tri colored roan male Slab City Scouts Royal Integrity for stud services to approved females only. We have the occasional litter once or twice a year in either Conover at Jay and Sue's or in Shawano at Jen's. Typically, there is a wait list for our puppies so getting on our list sooner gives families a better chance at adding a Slab City Springer to the family.

It was a good weekend for these two competing in rally! Here are some of the highlights:

⭐️ New Rally Novice (RN) titles for Gin and Dierks

⭐️ 8 classes and 8 qualifying scores

⭐️ 5 top 4 finishes

⭐️ 2 legs for each dog towards their RI titles

⭐️ Both dogs scored a 99/100 in a class!

It’s been a fun summer in the obedience ring but now it’s time to get back to what the dogs love most and that’s chasing birds!

Stella, Gin, and Dierks competed in the open show on Wednesday night! Here are some highlights:

▪️4 classes and 4 passing scores!
▪️Stella was thouroughly prepared by the little human Maebel.
▪️Dierks competed in his first off leash class.
▪️Dierks and Gin competed in the brace class for the first time.

What a fun family tradition we have started and it looks like we will need to add some dogs to the group in the near future for the upcoming showman!

It’s time to officially introduce this sweet girl to the world!

Bobber is from our Buck x Jerzy litter and is our first 6th-generation Slab City dog, going all the way back to the OG, Brandy. We are very excited for what the future holds for her!
