It’s time to get on my soapbox..
Recently we had an adoption event and got 5 dogs/puppies adopted..
Chaos of surrenders, holds and strays has been astronomical this past few months..
It began with a dog/puppy hoarding situation.. they surrendered 2 dogs that we didn’t know what was pregnant.. one lost her entire litter which was Peanut.. Domino had 6 puppies and they are now 5 weeks old and thriving.. and they also surrendered 4 puppies and thankfully they went to rescue however he surrendered 3 more puppies that were recently adopted..
We inquired the last of of their dogs 2 adult and 2 puppies..the whole one side of the shelter were their dogs.. due to some personal issues he is going to be surrendering the last of the dogs soon..
We have been inundated with stray puppies and dumped puppies older and younger..
We are waiting for some kennels to clear for the adopted dogs and puppies.. we have alter appts for them which will clear just 2 kennels..
So if I do a call out of urgency we are going to need help with all the shares we get..
Puppies will be at risk including Domino and her puppies.. I need to clear kennels to protect her and her babies.. we have reached out to rescues but they are full also so it’s up to me to insure the safety of all puppies and dogs at the shelter and get them adopted pulled for rescue..
Sharing my posts is very important so many people who don’t know about my page see the shared posts..
The week of the adoption event we got 7 strays and holds.. thankfully we had 5 adoptions but we still keep getting strays.. we had dogs and puppies as risk..
Please help us and keep sharing..
The shelters manager Chelsea who posts for City of Shasta Lake Animal Shelter and I are busting our tails to get dogs and puppies out..
I am at the shelter weekdays from 10-2 if you want to see what we have available..
Negative comments will not be allowed.. we put our hearts and souls into every dog and puppy and we want to see them off to their furever home~❤️Cheri
