For Shasta Lake residents only.. this shelter is working hard to help with altering your pets.. we have had endless puppies and kittens.. the shelter is doing their part to help please accept it..

Daisy has been secured by a rescue!!!!!!! She will be heading off to the rescue tomorrow!!!

The rescue she is going to is familiar with this breed where she will be a great hands!!

Dasher and Heidi are available for adoption at City of Shasta Lake Animal Shelter!!!

These 2 doxie mixes were found as strays that came into together.. they are both about a year old..

Dasher is just happy go lucky dog with always a smile on his face..

Heidi was previously adopted but they changed their mind last minute.. she never made it to her furever home and this was no fault of her own..

Heidi is full of energy and is just a happy go lucky dog..

Both were kenneled together with no issues..

I am not suggesting they be adopted together but beings they came in together they get along.. they can be adopted separately but if you have a dog a meet and greet is required so we know each dog will get along..

Cats are unknown since they came in as strays..

Respectable children are suggested..

Since they both came in as strays i do not have a back history on them..

Yes I am 300 miles away but I still am keeping track of dogs at the shelter…

Dasher is about a year old dachshund mix.. I can see his personality in the pics I see of him.. he is just a very happy boy and has the biggest smile ever for a little guy.. who can resist this smile?? His happy go lucky charm???

Who in their right mind not claim him as their own since he was found as a stray??

I get endless messages of people wanting a smaller dog. And yet he is still at the shelter with no meet and greets.

If you have a dog a meet and greet is required so we know they will get along..

Cats are unknown since he came in as a stray..

Respectable children is suggested they must know how to treat a dog..

I have to share this..

As most of you know my daughter is in the hospital.. she had to have a liver transplant and has an autoimmune disorder..

There have been lots of complications since we have been here in San Francisco.. a lot of ups and downs..

Last week she was just so depressed and made a post on my personal page to see if anyone can help me brighten her day with a therapy dog or service dog.. she was worrying me.. I got a message from an old friend who I was a roommate with 28 years ago.. she offered to bring her dog Jack in the next day..

Jack came in the next day and brightened her day.. I got so see her smile.. my daughter loves animals and she had always been my dog whisperer..

It’s been over a week since his visit and she has been on a good streak with no setback which is has been amazing because she hasn’t gotten a lot of breaks until this week..

Why is this post so important??? Jack was adopted from a rescue and trained to be a service dog.. a shelter dog that went to a rescue and adopted becomes a service dog!!!!

As I always say “Shelter Dogs Need You As Much As You Need Them”~🐾Cheri 🐾
