Can’t believe it’s the last day of June! We sent a half dozen of our Exhibition-type Buff Orpington hatching eggs down to Florida today. The last two times we’ve shipped Buffs, they’ve also gone to Florida—and I’m just like, take me with you. 😂😉🏝️🐠

This handsome young roo below is one we hatched this year. He’s right around the two-month mark and we’re so excited to see how he grows out!

All of our girls have slowed down a bit on laying, but we’re still offering half dozens on a few here and there.

Late last night and into the early morning, a barn on our property caught fire. Thankfully, no animals or people were hurt. It was an old storage barn, and the cause was a firework. We’re incredibly grateful it wasn’t worse.

This Golden Appenzeller Spitz lady slipped right past me while I was feeding our grow-outs this morning and had no interest in being caught. I thought she would head for a tree tonight, sure enough she did. She’s now back safely in our coop. A potential breeder for 2026.

We’re growing out a group of Buff Laced Polish and have around five males. This guy is around 7 weeks old—still has a long way to go to catch up to his dad, but I’m excited to see how they turn out. I’d love to end up with a couple that are twins to our Mr. Buff!
