Registered Appaloosa Gelding – “Rascal”

Rascal is the kind of horse that defines reliability, versatility, and quiet excellence. He is 13 years old, stands a solid 15.3 hands and weighing approximately 1,350 lbs, he offers both substance and presence, paired with an exceptional mind.

Prior to joining our program, Rascal was thoughtfully developed and utilized on a hobby cattle operation, where he gained real-world experience navigating varied terrain and working in practical ranch settings. He has also been extensively used as a trail horse, confidently covering miles of country and proving himself to be sure-footed, level-headed, and dependable in every environment.

Over the past two years, Rascal has been a cornerstone of our lesson program, safely and consistently carrying beginner through intermediate riders. His patience, forgiving nature, and steady demeanor have made him an invaluable teacher.

On the trail, Rascal is a true “trail boss” — the horse you can rely on to lead the way. He crosses creeks, ditches, and obstacles with quiet confidence, remaining cool, calm, and collected regardless of the situation. He takes care of his rider and makes every ride enjoyable. His favorite speed is a nice steady stroll but does have some get up if you ask him.

In every sense, Rascal is a true gentleman. He is respectful and easy to handle on the ground, stands quietly, and carries himself with the kind of quiet confidence that is increasingly hard to find. Under saddle, he is uncomplicated, steady, and honest.

• Riders seeking a safe, seasoned, and versatile partner
