Bo came to me a couple days ago for a tune up. Here is a short clip from his ride with me today.
Roxy firsts ride with us! She’s coming along! We’ve got some bridle work to do but she’s calmed down quite a bit since day 1 and is progressing very well! She is an OTTB restart.
Penny today! She’s gone from scared and bucking to gaining confidence and moving out! We did have a minor hiccup that you can see but kept her moving and all was well! Great job Penny!
Hollywood went from being ran into a trailer to now hoping right in. I did tie him and close the trailer door as well. He stood like a perfect gentleman! We like easy loaders!
🌟🌟 SOLD🌟🌟

Rita’s first “official” ride tonight! This is a big deal for her!
Rita at the end of our session. More confidence, less reactive.
Rita towards the middle of our session. We have moved up to a shorted tube placed under her tail so it’s bumping her in sensitive areas. She’s figuring this out very quickly!
Rita. Beginning of our session. Moving forward with more desensitizing. We were hoping she would be farther along by now, but all horses progress at different speeds. Here’s a video at the beginning of our session. She does not like things touching her back legs or hind area so we are desensitizing her more and building her confidence.
Video 2:
America, Getting more confident with the tube! He’s a lot less worried about it now. Definitely still bothered by it, but less than before!
Video 1:
America learning about the tube for the first time! He is sensitive about having his hind end messed with and doesn’t like things behind him. By doing this desensitizing, he’s learning that it’s ok to have things bumping into to and dragging behind him.
Flora getting used to weird objects, dragging and making noise. Loud owners (or trainers) make quite horses!

Rita this evening.
I’ve been struggling with getting Rita where I want her. I took a step back, re-evaluated the situation. My approach wasn’t working. Time to make a change. I worked her a little on the ground at the end of my lead rope, just trying to keep her with me. After 20 minutes of just hanging out and getting her to move her feet where I wanted, she decided it was time. It was at her pace. She’s had a mounting before. She was nervous during that mounting and I didn’t feel it was as positive as it should have been. A little more ground work and just a halter bareback. This was a huge step for Rita. I couldn’t have asked for a better “first ride” with this gal! We can only go up from here!
(Apologies for the low quality video, I’m not sure why it came out that way.)
America. Closing the distance, working above his head and controlling the feet. Preparation for his first ride.
Flora lunging. This is following her rearing fit. She’s learning that she doesn’t get to make the rules but needs to do what is asked.
Mouse had fun today with some in-hand work!
NasNan today. He’s made some huge progress with relaxing and finding his calm.
Butterscotch came in to be started under saddle. Here is her 5 weeks after drop off with us.
