This big 3 yr old has been here a week now, he came for a restart. His owner wasn’t happy with how he was started and how he was riding after 60+ days with another trainer. He came to me kicking at fly spray, turning his butt at you when you go to get him from his stall or turn out, when you put your foot on him he’d try to reach around and bite you, reluctant to move forward, when you picked up on one rein he’d stop and back up, when you picked up on both he’d toss his head. Currently he’s not kicking at fly spray, hes meeting me at the door or gate, he’s accepting my legs, we’ve worked a lot on getting him soft laterally, this was his first time with me picking up on 2 reins again and he’s doing much better, and we’ve got forward motion again. We’ve got lots more to work on but he’s definitely made some huge strides in the last week!

Every horse will teach you something different! This is my personal horse I started last week. He had his first saddling last Saturday and let’s say he was less than pleased with the experience. Today was his third ride and his first in the arena and I’m very pleased with the progress he’s made in the last 5 days!! We have had some long days together to get to this point and lots of sweat, but we are on the right path! Unfortunately they don’t get broke over night and some are more challenging than others. Here’s to thank you Clinton for The Method!!!

🎃 OCTOBER C**T STARTING OPPORTUNITY
If you’ve ever wanted your horse started at the ranch here’s your opportunity!!
Horses are road in a group setting the entire duration of the clinic. They are loped day 1 under saddle. Rode twice a day for roughly 2 hrs each session. Riden in the arena, through the pasturs, and over obstacles. Once the clinic is over they will have approximately 12-14 rides and will be ready to transituon to a snaffle bit. They will walk/trot/lope on a loose rein, stop off your seat, stop & back up when you pick up on them, and keep a consistent gate.

🔥 Option 1: 10 day c**t starting only. I will haul your horse to and from the ranch in Arkansas. Your private lesson will be scheduled the day we get back and you’ll take your horse back home to continue their education. You will be responsible for providing hay and grain.
🔥Option 2: 10 day c**t starting inclusive with the
6-week academy program. I will haul your horse and start it at the ranch, once completing the c**t starting I will bring him back and continue training to complete the academy training program. Board is included.

12th ride 😮‍💨
A trainers goal should always be to bring out the best in every horse. That is going to be different for every horse as bloodlines plays a big part in their athletic ability. This c**t is cow bred on the top and running bred on the bottom. He’s not only bred to run he’s bred to get down low and cut a cow. Jinx naturally has a very long stride and drops his head down in the stop and back up. That is not a taught trait that is a natural trait. Not all horses will stop this hard on their hind end this soon. But boy then they do it is special! We’ve been doing lots of one rein stops getting him to listen to my seat/legs. And hes been started on vertical flexion. Yesterday was the first day he offered to give me such a big stop. I’m super happy with how far this gelding had come in 2 weeks! Excited to see what his future holds!!

3 yr old gelding sent to me to start and get him a solid foundation. He’s been with me 1 week, this was his second ride, first time in the arena!!
