Boarding is Bingo. Bingo is a 6yr Frenchie that I have been taking care of as he was a puppy, where he was trained basic obedience and such a goofy post. Just a reminder for everyone: for the spring and summer months I will be having services that take place. Please reach out if anyone is interested and DM me privately.

If you care for a colony of cats please make sure they are good neighbors. The #1 complaint we receive about community cats is "cat (s) p**ping in my garden". Why do cats do that?

Answer - A cat’s natural instinct is to eliminate in soft, loose, soil-like material such as mulch, sand, or peat moss. So make sure cats you feed have an area to eliminate (a place to p**p) on your property πŸ™‚ F***s management will be appreciated by your neighbors if they are not cat fans.

KITTEN SEASON HAS BEGUN!!!!

β€œThis time of year, open all the plastic bags, all the cardboard boxes.

When you see by the road, a bag with something inside, don’t ride on it but please stop to check the contents.

Open your ears and eyes, at the edge of the ditches, bins, alleyways, whether in town or in the countryside.”

Dont think that someone else will do it. You are β€œsomeone.” Their lives depend on you.

BIRD FLU: Keep cats safe! Cats are very susceptible to H5N1, also known as bird or avian flu, but at this time the overall risk for exposure and infection is believed to be low. The virus has ravaged poultry farms, leading to the mass killing of over 150 million birds. Now, it's been detected in dairy cows, catsβ€”even humans.

Signs of H5N1 infection in cats:
β›” Respiratory problems like coughing, sneezing, nasal discharge, trouble breathing
β›” Lethargy
β›” Neurological disorders, such as disorientation or trouble walking
β›” Sudden onset of severe disease or death without prior signs of illness or injury

PSA: If you see a lone baby possum, get it to a wildlife rehabber ASAP!
πŸ’•πŸŒΌπŸ’•πŸŒΌπŸ’•πŸŒΌπŸ’•
Many orphans can be left a few hours to see if mom comes back...NOT OPOSSUMS! If you see a baby like this one in a yard or anywhere, get it quickly in a little box or pet carrier with a blanket and keep warm.
Momma opossum can have up to 13 babies. As they grow, they don't all fit in the pouch so they ride on her back. If something startles her and she runs, one can fall off. Momma doesn't know she lost one so please never ever leave one thinking mom will come back...

Did you know that if you have a pacemaker, you can include it in your Will to be donated to a dog in need after you pass away?
Although pacemakers cannot be used for another human, they can help dogs with heart problems and potentially save their lives. You can arrange for the pacemaker to be sent to a vet of your choice. Many pacemakers are simply thrown away, and dogs may die because people do not know about this option. Donating the pacemaker can even save the dog's owner the cost of a new one, which can sometimes make a crucial difference in affording life-saving treatment.
How to donate? Update your will: Leave instructions to have your pacemaker removed and sent to a veterinary clinic of your choice
Ask your doctor to save the pacemaker: When your pacemaker is being replaced or upgraded, ask your doctor to save it for donation
Contact your local vet: Confirm that they would be able to use the pacemaker.
