This grey fox was a fun challenge! This cute little fella had a few blemishes including 2 detached legs and 1 severely injured one…but I was able to find a form that showcased his good leg and hid the imperfections while still showcasing him as a whole with all 4 legs displayed 😊 doing a bunch of finish work this week to get some deer out of my shop and to their new homes and hopefully finish up mounting the rest of 2025 deer in the next few weeks!

Had my first opportunity to create a soft mount for a client. This coyote had such unique coloring and it was a fun one to display! The coyote is fully posable and can be moved into multiple different positions. Took him for a little photo shoot to show a few of the poses 😁

Enjoying the sunshine out at the Michigan sugar festival today at our booth! Plus our elk is making its official debut 😁 lots of furs out for kids to touch! Swing by and try some of the wonderful brats at the lions tent. Bonus is we’re right next to the ice cream barn which I’ll definitely be enjoying soon 🥰

Had a busy Memorial Day weekend! Got quite a few deer finished and started a new project animal for the shop display, sneak preview in the last picture before finish work 😁 I’m beyond blessed to have such beautiful creatures to work with! ❤️

I was able to attend the Michigan Taxidermist Association Convention this past weekend and it was an amazing opportunity to learn! Not only did I attend multiple classes to learn further about mounting whitetail, predators, birds, and habitats, but I also entered a piece in the competition for the first time. My daughter shot a doe last year so this piece was very special to me. I learned a lot with a 1:1 critique session and hope to do even better next year! I received a second place ribbon which was pretty exciting and hoping to strive for even better next year! I’m excited to start applying the new techniques I learned to my current mounts and can’t wait to hopefully enter more pieces next time! 😁
