I was able to attend the Michigan Taxidermist Association Convention this past weekend and it was an amazing opportunity to learn! Not only did I attend multiple classes to learn further about mounting whitetail, predators, birds, and habitats, but I also entered a piece in the competition for the first time. My daughter shot a doe last year so this piece was very special to me. I learned a lot with a 1:1 critique session and hope to do even better next year! I received a second place ribbon which was pretty exciting and hoping to strive for even better next year! I’m excited to start applying the new techniques I learned to my current mounts and can’t wait to hopefully enter more pieces next time! 😁

Sent home both bear rugs this weekend! 😊 first time trying them and I think they turned out quite pretty! What a difference between the short fine hair from the big male bear versus the long fluffy fur from the female!

A few bucks ready to go home! Wanted to share their cute faces with you guys! I absolutely love seeing the different coloring and hair types from multiple whitetails. Mostly similar, but uniquely different!

Busy day at the shop! Got our next delivery along with working on the backing of a bear rug. Excited to start finishing a few of the mounted deer next week and get them back to the hunters!
