It was a blast, and really hard, but I will look back on this with great pride.

It is with a very heavy heart that I have to announce that Scraps will be closing.
Our building was acquired last year, and with that came a significant rent increase; an increase that is untenable for us. After careful consideration, we have also decided against a relocation and have no plans to reopen at this time. It’s been an amazing 10 years, and we appreciate the love and support that we’ve received from all of our customers and the community. It’s been so much fun and very rewarding.
We will be open through the end of April, and will have some amazing sales throughout the rest of March and April so please come see us!

What an amazing thing. A single Facebook post about a concern for the wellbeing of dogs in need, culminated in a donation to NorthWest Harvest of nearly 2000 pounds of dog food. Thank you Briteney Mercer for spearheading this effort. We at Scraps were thrilled to help make this a reality.

This Veterinarian came into my shop a couple weeks ago and told me about a stem cell treatment he is doing on dogs that are having serious mobility/paralysis issues. They are having remarkable results, as shown in this video.

4th of July Update. Last night there were some random fireworks going off in my neighborhood. My dogs were panting, pacing, and whining for hours.
Contrast with tonight where there is constant and much louder fireworks going off in my neighborhood. My dogs tonight are calm and even napping. The difference? Treatibles. AMAZING.

The Ultimate Homemade Itchy Dog Spray

I'm going to try this!!! If your dogs are anything like mine, this time of year can bring confusing itch patterns that don't seem related to normal food issues. My boy is particularly bad when we have very little rain and the pollens and general grime collect (on grass, pavement, etc). If this brings relief, this could be great! Green JuJu is also a great addition to your pets food during peak times for environmental allergies!
