The Apt. Management put down rat poison -- NOT warfarin based -- because of the mouse problem here. I have one in my apartment, which Furrball tries to get whenever he sees it. (Sometimes it's GOOD that he's fat and lazy!) But what happens if the mouse has eaten some of the bait and Furrball eats the mouse? And what other type of poison could it be if it's not warfarin based? Strychnine? What should I watch for?

On a rainy September morning, earlier than I wanted to get up for, our dogs had to go out. I went downstairs and opened the door and stood there in just my night gown, waiting for them to finish.
We knew there were feral kittens behind our shed. My husband had seen them the day before. Well suddenly I could hear a kitten squalling. My eyes searched the yard and suddenly landed on our terrier. She had the tiny kitten in her mouth. She wasn’t to be trusted. I ran out in that rain, slapped her on her noggin and she dropped it. I scooped it up and ran back inside the house with that dog running right behind me. I stood at the foot of the stairs, soaking wet , holding that kitty above my head. He finally came down and helped me get the poor little thing warmed up. My 2 pm the two of them bonded and we had a cat! He’s a whopping 13 pounds and very sweet. Dexter is his name.
Assistance needed! We have a Littermaid Elite automatic litterbox. We want to give it to someone to help them out but we can't locate the AC adapter. I called Littermaid but they basically said to buy a new one since the Elite is an "older model". They couldn't/wouldn't even tell me the power requirements, which honestly seems to indicate that they're just a reseller getting stuff from you-know-where that's manufactured for them. At any rate, can someone tell me the power requirements, or even better point me to a known-good vendor?
