We are located in Ellsworth, Maine - 16 miles from Acadia National Park and Mount Desert Island. We offer horse-drawn carriage rides in Acadia National Park from May to October. We also have stalls that you can rent and bring your own horse(s) to ride and/or drive the 40+ miles of carriage roads.

Well I’m 2 weeks late on posting anything from our Autumn at the Barn event we had on the 11th…

THANK YOU to everyone who came out to spend some time with us! It was so nice seeing all of the new and familiar faces getting to spend some time with the horses, enjoy some fall treats and paint pumpkins. What a perfect fall day for it!

Of course we forgot to get any more pictures except these we took before the start of it 🤦🏼‍♀️. If you attended and have any pics of you/your kiddos in the “Photo Booth” or with their coloring or pumpkins or the horses we would LOVE to see them! 🧡🍁🐴

Wow!

I still don’t really have words for the turnout we had for the Open Barn Night last night (Wednesday). We knew there would be a fair amount of interest but I guess we didn’t realize exactly how much - we figure there were at least 130 people here throughout the night.

Thank you to all of those who came and waited a long time for a wagon ride. Also thank you to those of you who may not have had the ability to wait and didn’t get to go for a ride! I’m really sorry we were overwhelmed by the amount of people and didn’t get to everyone between losing daylight and the horses needing a break. There were a couple of groups of 2 people who I know had been waiting and didn’t get to go on - if you are reading this and it was you please message me here.

We learned a lot and will have a lot of knowledge on how to make the next event better and more efficient. We definitely want to also be able to bring more horses out in the barn to show but will have to figure out a way to do smaller groups or different time slots.

Everybody wants to meet Duke - he’s a bit of a local legend and likes it that way. He’s an extraordinary specimen of a Draft horse and fully knows it - don’t tell him he’s an old man 👀
