❤️ A heartfelt update on Dylan… ❤️

As of today, my sweet boy Dylan is 8 DAYS SEIZURE FREE!!! 🙏❤️
Just a few pics of our journey thank you all who have been following us through this💕
God has bigger plans for us!!!

Those words feel almost too precious to say out loud. After everything we have been through, I have learned not to look too far ahead or take even one moment for granted. Right now, I am simply holding on to each seizure free day with a grateful heart and thanking God for every minute He gives us. 🙏

Dylan is still recovering from his VNS implant surgery, and we have another appointment this week,we are still adjusting his medications and carefully watching for any changes. I watch him constantly, listening to every breath and checking on him throughout the day and night. I do not leave his side. I cannot leave his side. As his mom, I wish I could take all of this from him and carry it myself 😢❤️

As much as I am DYING to get back to The Shampooch Pawlor, my heart knows that my place is right here beside my son. Right now, my most important job is helping him heal, keeping him safe, and doing everything I can to get him stable. Because of that, I need a little more time away from work🥲 ughhh this is killing me.

Please know that this is not easy for me. I miss all of you and I miss every one of my furry babies so much. 🐾❤️ Everyone who knows me knows that Shampooch is my happy place ,my place of peace, comfort, and tranquility. It is where I can escape the worries of life for a little while, and I miss being there with all of my pups more than I can express.

Your messages, calls, prayers, love, and support have carried me through some of the hardest days of my life. Every person who has checked on us, reached out, or simply kept Dylan in your thoughts and prayers has touched my heart deeply. I may not always have the words or time to respond, but please know that I see it, I feel it, and I am forever grateful. ❤️ Thank you Julie for Dylan’s blanket and puppy who he named Goldie she has comforted and followed him throughout this whole journey🥰

I will post updates once in a while and definitely before I get back to work. Hoping it will be soon.

And I am asking from the bottom of my heart: please continue to pray for Dylan every single day. 🙏 Please pray for his healing, his strength, his stability, and for the seizures to stay away. I truly believe God is watching over my Dylan and walking beside us through every frightening moment, every sleepless night, and every uncertain day. Thank you God🙏

Eight days seizure free. 🙏❤️
One day at a time.
One breath at a time.
One prayer at a time.

Please keep praying for my sweet Dylan. ❤️🙏

Until I see you all again please know that you are all in my heart. 🐾❤️

Thank you for loving us, standing beside us, and continuing to pray for Dylan. Your kindness means more than you will ever know.

🙏❤️🐾

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.”

💙 A LITTLE UPDATE ON DYLAN 💙

PLEASE SHARE THIS POST TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW IT ONLY TAKES A SECOND🙏

I know that many of my clients and people who know and love Dylan don’t follow my personal page, and I haven’t had a chance to post an update here.

Dylan underwent surgery for his epilepsy on Monday. 🙏💙 The surgery itself went well, and I am incredibly thankful for that. However, Dylan is still very fragile and not feeling well, and unfortunately, he continues to have clusters of seizures every day.

Because of everything going on, the shop will be closed for the next few weeks while I navigate through this and focus completely on Dylan and what he needs right now. I hope everyone understands that at this moment, there is nowhere else I can be but by my son’s side.

This is an incredibly difficult and scary time for us. As his mom, I am extremely worried, and watching him continue to struggle after everything he has already been through is heartbreaking.

Right now, all I can do is hold onto my faith, trust in God, and keep praying. 🙏

So I’m reaching out to all of our prayer warriors — please, please keep Dylan in your prayers. Pray that his body heals, that these seizure clusters calm down, that this surgery ultimately gives him the relief we have prayed so hard for, and that God gives him strength through all of this.

And please say a little prayer for me too — that God gives me the strength and faith I need to keep carrying us through these difficult days.

We need all the prayers we can get right now. 💙🙏

Thank you to everyone who loves Dylan, has checked on us, prayed for him, and continues to keep our family in your thoughts. It means more to me than I could ever put into words.

God, please wrap your arms around my boy and carry him through this. 🙏💙

Tomorrow is a day I’ve prayed about, worried about, hoped for, and dreamed about for a very long time. 💙🙏

My son Dylan will be having his epilepsy surgery tomorrow, and tonight I’m asking all of my wonderful clients, friends, and family to please say an extra prayer for my boy.

This journey hasn’t exactly gone according to plan. Dylan ended up being admitted to the hospital earlier than scheduled after having clusters of seizures, so we’ve already been here longer than we expected.

And yet, through all of it, this kid continues to amaze me.

He is so incredibly brave. 💙

Even after everything epilepsy has put him through, Dylan is still Dylan. He’s still laughing. He’s still joking. He’s still making everyone he meets smile. Nurses, doctors, staff — it doesn’t matter. Somehow, even while HE is the one lying in the hospital bed going through all of this, he finds a way to make the people around him laugh.

That’s my boy. ❤️

As his mom, there is nothing harder than watching your child go through something you can’t fix for them. I’ve watched epilepsy interrupt Dylan’s days, take away pieces of his independence, and bring fear and uncertainty into moments that should have been simple. If I could carry this burden for him, I would do it in a heartbeat.

But tomorrow, I’m choosing not to walk into that operating room with fear in my heart.

I’m walking in with HOPE and faith that this is GODS PLAN 🙏

I truly believe this could be the beginning of something amazing for Dylan. The beginning of fewer seizures. More independence. More freedom. More laughter. More opportunities. More days where epilepsy doesn’t get to decide what it can and cannot do.

Most people probably don’t think twice about an ordinary, uneventful day.

For us, ordinary days would be extraordinary.

More than anything in this world, I just want my son to have an easier, safer, happier life. I want him to experience everything he deserves without epilepsy constantly standing in his way.

And I have so much faith that tomorrow could be the beginning of that new chapter. 💙

So tonight, if you could take just a moment and say, “God, please watch over Dylan tomorrow,” this mom would be forever grateful. 🙏

Please pray for the hands of his surgeons, for everyone caring for him, for a successful surgery and an easy recovery and most of all, that this surgery gives Dylan the chance at the life we have been praying for.

He has been so brave. Now it’s my turn to be brave for him.

As for The Shampooch Pawlor, I will of course be closed for the next two weeks while I stay exactly where my heart needs to be , right beside my son. ❤️

During this time, I will not be answering calls or texts regarding appointments. I hope everyone can understand that for these next couple of weeks, my entire focus needs to be on Dylan, his surgery, and his recovery. I promise I will get back to everyone once I am ready to start scheduling again.

And then… I’ll be back before you know it! 🐾✂️

I already miss all of my puppies and those furry little faces more than you know. I can’t wait for the day I walk back into my shop, see those wagging tails again, pick up my clippers, and get right back into the swing of things.

Thank you to every single person who has checked on us, prayed for Dylan, sent a message, or simply kept our family in your thoughts. Your love and support means more to me than I could ever put into words.

Tomorrow isn’t just surgery day.

Tomorrow is hope.
Tomorrow is possibility.
Tomorrow is a new chapter.

And with everything in my heart, I’m praying this is the beginning of something absolutely amazing for my Dylan💙🙏

Thank you💕 Susie

To my Shampooch Pawlor family,

This is one of the hardest posts I’ve ever had to write.

Many of you know my son, Dylan. If you’ve been to the shop, you’ve probably been greeted by his smile, had a conversation with him, watched your pup run to him before me or watched him proudly say hello. He has a way of making people smile, and over the last couple of years, so many of you have shown him such kindness and love.
❤️Love you all for that❤️

Unfortunately, this has been an incredibly difficult summer. Dylan has been battling frequent seizures, and despite countless doctor appointments, hospital visits, medications, and testing, he continues to fight every single day.

After much prayer and many conversations with his medical team, Dylan is scheduled to undergo epilepsy surgery on August 17.

Because of this, The Shampooch Pawlor will be closed from August 17 through September 2. As much as I love my work and every one of my wonderful clients, right now I need to be exactly where God has called me to be… by my son’s side.

While this journey hasn’t been easy, one thing has never changed—my faith in God. I truly believe that He is walking beside us every step of the way. I don’t know exactly what the road ahead will look like, but I know we won’t walk it alone. My faith gives me strength, hope, and peace, and I trust that God will carry Dylan through this surgery and continue to watch over him.

If you could please keep Dylan in your thoughts and prayers, it would mean more to our family than words could ever express. We are believing in healing, praying for a successful surgery, and trusting God’s plan for Dylan’s future.

Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and for supporting not only my small business, but my family as well. Your kindness, encouragement, and prayers have meant the world to us.

I look forward to welcoming you and your sweet pups back when I return.

With love and gratitude,

Susie

Well… you all did it! 😂🐾

I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to all of my amazing clients. Because of your support, my schedule is officially packed tighter than a doodle after a bath! ❤️

At this time, I am not accepting any new clients because I want to continue giving my regular clients and their furry family members the time and attention they deserve.

I’m so incredibly grateful that you’ve trusted me with your babies. Your loyalty, referrals, and kindness have helped make my little business what it is today, and I truly couldn’t do it without all of you.

Thank you for keeping me so busy doing what I love every day. Give your pups an extra hug from me, and I’ll see all my regulars at their next spa day!

“If you’re an existing client and would like to be contacted when an appointment opens up, let me know and I’ll add you to my waitlist.”
Please do not post on here for an appointment. Call the Shop directly at 516-363-3647 as I do not check my Facebook all the time.
