A one stop shop if you only own a one horse trailer, this phenomenal gelding does it all and never has a bad day. He stays gentle, happy, and trained with a solid foundation and no skipped steps. Stetson has been shown in the NRCHA (cow horse) and is an impressive money earner of $10,436. He also is an AQHA World Show qualifier in the VHR Cutting. He would excel in Versatility competitions, cowhorse boxing, ranch riding and trail and would be suitable for a youth or beginner. He also has been roped in the arena and out in the pasture, he’s a top hand around the ranch, and will be your number one going down the trail. Stetson puts the word versatile to the max in all training and skill sets. He is absolutely beautiful inside and out with a stunning red roan body, balanced conformation and big, kind eyes that will steal your heart. Standing 14.2 hands, he is the perfect size for most riders, easy to mount and dismount, and tack up. Stetson is a true family horse that has been ridden extensively by an 8 year old girl. He is as honest as the day is long and will take 110% care of his person. He is a dream out on the trails and perfect alone. He will navigate accordingly through prickly cactus, pick his way through big boulders and mountainous terrain, put cruise control on going down steep hills, and loves the water! Stetson will calmly and quietly walk through busy traffic and doesn’t bat an eye at the hustle and bustle of our touristy town including joggers, bicycles, strollers, blowing banners, motorcycles, and loud music. He looks stellar carrying the American flag and always has his ears forward indicating a happy and willing horse. He is accustomed to dogs, longhorns, buffalo, pigs, wildlife and even our camel, Clyde. Stetson doesn’t have a mean bone in his body and aims to please. He has an A+ disposition and excellent ground manners. He will ground tie where you drop a rein, stand tied all day and not dig, and come running to the gate to be caught. He is easy to shoe, bathe, clip and load in the trailer. Stetson is super smooth and fun to ride. He has a great jog and easy lope. He has a one handed neck rein and will go right where you point him. His speed control is automatic and if you take the energy out of your body he will slow down. He stops on command with the word “whoa”. He has all kinds of fun buttons and fancy training, but is super happy just to go slow and cruise around. He would be an ideal horse for someone needing to build confidence or gain trust in riding. He rides just as good English, ba****ck, and bridle-less as he does in his western tack.
