Im so pretty in my onesie! Our wonderful girl Indica got her spay done yesterday and they outfitted her with all new drip.

She’s recovering nicely this morning and we await her next leg surgery in a few more weeks.

Indica had her check up and her stitches removed. They say she is healing very well. We go back in 5 more weeks to see about scheduling her next surgery. It pains us to keep her pent up in the enclosure as she’s become so very friendly with us and wants out.

Meet Tristan, hes our other resident Foster who along with Indica is somewhat special needs.

Tristan is around 3 years old. He was surrendered back to kitten angels after he started marking the home. The vets thought behavioral due to stress from two other cats in the home but as it turns out he had a crystals in his urine. He’s now on a urinary prescription diet and hasn’t had any issues using a litter-box nor any accidents outside of it. Most nights he sleeps in a bed with a loud 17 year old gamer while talking to Indica about how great it is to run around and what she has to look forward to after she heals from surgery. He’s totally fine around her kennel and we think he might be ok with the right temperament cat in the home but he will do equally well with as an only cat companion to someone who will let him curl up in the bed next to them.

Meet Indica,

This sweet little girl has had a challenging start to her life. When she was brought to Kitten angels, she was very sick requiring a stay at one of our amazing vets offices. While doing multiple rounds of antibiotics and antivirals, they discovered that she had an abnormal gate to her walk.

Radiology reports discovered that she has bilateral luxating patella in both her legs. Because of how severe the right leg is affected and with the left one too, it was recommended she see a board-certified surgeon. The surgeon confirmed both legs need to have surgery to be corrected. The high end of the estimate is 5500.00 which while seeming to be a lot is pricless for a kitten that has known nothing but struggles.

A luxating patella in cats is a condition where the kneecap (patella) slips out of its normal groove in the femur (thigh bone), causing, limping, "skipping" on three legs, or reluctance to jump. Often congenital, it is commonly treated in grades 2–4 with surgery to prevent chronic arthritis and pain. Because both of her legs are effected, they are doing her surgery in two stages. Her first surgery is today and when she heals they will schedule her next one in probably a month or so.

We feel so bad for her since we have to limit her mobilty so she doesnt cause herself a lot of pain but this girl gets lots of love and we cant wait to see her pain free
