🐾🥛 THIRSTY THURSDAY 🥛🐾

These two tiny babies - Bugs & Beetle - would like you to know they are VERY passionate about milk 🤣

Judging by the amount of formula on their ENTIRE bodies at 3am they seem to believe wearing it is just as important as drinking it 🍼

As much as these pictures make me laugh the reality is they are milk covered because these babies were literally starving - both from lack of food and being parasite ridden - and they still eat like it’s going to be their last meal.

From ripping ni***es right off the bottle to trying to literally eat each other these two make feeding them comparable to trying to bottle feed cute fluffy piranhas or tiny ravenous sharks 🦈

But honestly?
That chaos is a reminder that their survival instincts are still very much intact — after what these babies have been through outside, that’s a good thing ♥️

Every full belly, every messy feeding, every ounce gained, and every night they get to sleep somewhere warm instead of outside matters.

Moments like this are only possible because of community support 🫶🏼

The donated formula, bottles, wet food, supplies, and support people send directly help kittens like these get a second chance.

If you would like to help support their care, donation links and wishlist can be found here ⬇️

And trust me — with 10 bottle babies currently in foster care, we are going through formula FAST 😅

So for today’s these tiny milk-drunk frazzle rock wannabes wanted to say thank you to everyone who continues to support local rescue, donate supplies, share posts, and help us survive kitten season right along with them 🐾✨

Volunteer Opportunity- Rescue Support 💻✨

Over the last year, rescue has grown fast — and with that growth comes the need to add supportive roles so things can flow smoother.

I’ve worn a lot of hats and handled a lot on my own, regardless of whats going on one thing I will never rush or take lightly is placement.

Who animals are placed with matters.

Safe, well-vetted foster and adoption placements can change the course of an animal’s life.

As intake and foster needs continue to grow, it’s time to strengthen the support behind the scenes and bring in the right person to help with this part of rescue.

Saving All Species is currently looking for one trusted, experienced individual to assist with cat and kitten foster/adoption placement vetting.

This role would help with:

🏡 Reviewing foster applications
🐾 Reviewing adoption applications
📞 Checking references
🏠 Assisting with home checks
❤️ Helping ensure safe, responsible placements

Looking for someone who:

✔ Has rescue/foster/adoption experience
✔ Understands red flags in placement situations
✔ Communicates well and follows through
✔ Believes in ethical, responsible rescue
✔ Works well as part of a team or individually

If you have rescue experience and have been looking for a way to help that doesn’t involve trapping, transporting, or fostering — this may be a great fit.

Interested? Send us a message 🐾💌

Please share — the right person could make a huge difference ♥️

The plan for tonight was simple 🐈‍⬛🪤
Look for kittens. Trap. Get cats to the vet.

Instead, the night turned into a chain of searches, new leads, and more unanswered questions.

1️⃣ Stop - Looking for the rest of Tiny Tim’s litter.

After canvassing the area, we couldn’t see any sign of the kittens — but did see both cats that could potentially be mom at a feeder location and think we narrowed down who Mom is.

I also noticed food left out near where Tiny Tim was found, which tells me there may be another feeder nearby.

This situation is still unfolding and until the kittens are located I’m holding off on trapping mom.

2️⃣ Stop - Checking for the momma cat and her last remaining 5-week-old kitten.

We canvassed the area. No sign of them.

After talking to neighbors, it sounds like her feeding schedule changed — which likely means she has moved the kitten and found another feeding source.

Another active situation we will keep tracking.

⚠️ While walking between locations (trap in hand), someone stopped to tell me about ANOTHER property with cats + possible kittens needing TNR.

Another lead.
Another location.
Another situation added to the list.

3️⃣ Stop - A colony we’ve been working on

This is where things got complicated…

Even though trapping was planned, food had been left accidentally (these things happen) but this meant some of the cats were likely already full.

Add in the fact that most of this colony is already done and that makes trapping harder.

🐈‍⬛ Flash (pregnant female) was on site when we arrived, she was almost in the trap but was pushed out by an already TNRed cat and once the possum showed up she was out.

🖤 Scruffy was lurking in the shadows most of the evening but wouldn’t come up to the trap (literally until after we left 🙄)

✅ We did catch the newbie that recently showed up - and then things got more complicated…

Once trapped, we realized she appears to be lactating — Which likely means more kittens somewhere (vet will confirm in the AM) 🥺

That part is sitting heavy on me tonight.
So tomorrow’s plan changes again.
I’ll be back out in the morning to search.

🪤 Before leaving, I left one of the traps open and baited for trap training — Less than 10 minutes after we left, Scruffy was already inside eating.

That’s progress.

Tonight didn’t go to plan.
But tomorrow starts again.

Back on the ground.
Back searching.
Back trying.

Because rescue doesn’t stop when the plan changes — it adapts 🐾♥️

📣 I’ve been getting a lot of messages lately and there is something I need to address…

The reality is — I’m one person usually trying to manage multiple active rescue situations at once — and right now, doing it without a vehicle.

That means every trap location, every clinic appointment, and every emergency depends on timing, coordination, and whether I can secure transportation to even get there.

If I had a vehicle I could move between locations faster, stay out longer, cover more ground.

Instead, tonight looked like me walking block after block carrying traps, canvassing neighborhoods, following leads, talking to neighbors, trying to piece together where these cats are moving.

Because vehicle or not — it still has to be done.

The kittens are still out there.
The moms are still moving.
The cycle is still happening.

So we do our best, figure it out, and keep going ♥️

🐾🪤 TNR TUESDAY 🪤🐾

Tonight, we’re heading back out.

There are over a dozen cats in this area that need TNR — that’s just the ones we know about.

Tomorrow we have room for 4 cats at the clinic.
The problem?
We just lost one of our transporters.

Unless we find another ride, only 2 cats can go in.

And when you’re staring at this many cats needing help, every spot matters.

Tonight’s priority list includes ⬇️

🖤 Our elusive Momma cat + her last kitten
🤍 An older black-and-white male with matting
🐈‍⬛ A young black cat who appears pregnant
😻 A beautiful newbie who recently showed up at a colony we are close to finishing

And if we don’t have luck with those there’s a few males we know of wandering the neighborhood 😼

This is the reality of TNR.

It isn’t just setting a trap.
It’s building a plan around appointments, transport, recovery, and funding — hoping all the pieces hold.

Every delay can mean more litters, more suffering, and more cats added to the cycle.

🚗 We are looking for one more transporter for tomorrow so we can still go for 4 tonight.

📍 South Amboy ➡️ Robbinsville

If you’re local and available to help transport, please message us ASAP.

Donations are always appreciated and make this work possible. We are truly grateful to those that continue to support our mission ♥️

For those asking about physical donations, our biggest TNR needs right now are:

🥫 Canned food
💧 P*e pads
🧺 Towels

Every cat TNRed moves us one step closer to stabilization instead of overpopulation 🤞🏻✨

🐾 Monday Reality Check 🐾

You can think you have the whole week figured out and then in one moment everything changes…

Last week the plan was trapping.
Transport and logistics were figured out.

Then the kitten calls came in 😿
And just like that, the plan shifted.
But that’s rescue.

Constant shifting.
Constant problem solving.
Constant figuring it out in real time.

This is where we’re at right now ⬇️

We are up to 3 new kitten intakes.

🐱 One is teeny tiny
Found alone. No mom. No siblings in sight.
We’re canvassing the area and asking neighbors to keep an eye out because where there’s one, there’s usually more.

🐱🐱 Two are a bit older
We still have eyes on the one remaining sibling who is with mom and we’re working on getting them to safety.

ON TOP OF THAT…

In this same area, there are AT LEAST 10 adult cats (and honestly probably more 😅) that need to be trapped for TNR.

That’s the reality of rescue.

It’s never just one kitten.
It’s never just one cat.

One of our biggest challenges right now is transport help.

The more transport volunteers we have, the more cats we can trap and get vetted.

• One remaining sibling still outside
• Momma cat + final kitten we still have eyes on

This rescue story isn’t over 🫶🏼✨

🐾🖤 Meet Tiny Tim 🖤 🐾

As cute as he is — this situation isn’t cute.

One tiny kitten.
Not even a pound.
No mom in sight.
Too young to be out there on his own.
Lucky to have been found.

For every one that gets found…
there are countless others that don’t 😿

He didn’t just appear.

He came from an unspayed cat.
A cat that will keep having babies.
And those babies will repeat the cycle.

This is why TNR matters.

Not later.
Now.

Because the goal isn’t just to save kittens like this, it’s to prevent them from ending up like this at all.

He’s one of the lucky ones.
Safe, loved, and starting to thrive 🖤

Kittens like Tiny Tim need ongoing care — formula, supplies, and medical all add up quickly. Kitten season is here, your support now allows us to help more like him as the calls keep coming in.

We’re hoping the rest of his litter is found but the reality is — kittens are being born every day unless we step in and help change the cycle 🐈‍⬛🪤

As I was figuring out logistics to trap yesterday, my phone rang…

📞 “My neighbor found a kitten”

Not a litter.
Not a mom with babies.

JUST ONE.

Already scooped up.
Sitting in a box.
No one knew who mom was.

So trapping got put on hold and this tiny void was brought to me instead 🥺

And when I say tiny — I mean TINY.
Not even weighing a pound yet, but already showing he’s got the strength in him to survive.

I won’t sit here and tell you it’s been all warm cuddles and easy moments. Last night there were points where I genuinely didn’t know which way things were going to go…

But somewhere around 3am, we had a breakthrough (that came with a very explosive bowel movement 🫣) and this morning he made sure I knew he was still here, very loudly, letting me know he was hungry and ready to eat.

He’s safe.
Warm.
Fed.
And no longer alone.

He still has a long road ahead, but now he has round-the-clock care to help him get there.

Thank you to the people who found him and chose to step in as well as everyone who continues to support this work in our local communities.

These lives don’t change without you 🖤✨

Eat, sleep, be cute, repeat 💕

Sounds like the dream, right?

As cute as they are, these tiny faces need around-the-clock care — bottles, cleaning, monitoring, making sure they’re gaining weight, and giving them the proper support to grow into strong, healthy kittens.

Right now, these babies are safe.
They’re fed, warm, loved, and starting to show their little personalities.

But here’s the truth —
rescue doesn’t run on love alone.

We are already going through:
🍼 Kitten formula
🥣 Wet food & nutrical
🧺 Soft blankets & bedding
🧻 Paper towels & cleaning supplies
🧼 Laundry & disinfecting supplies
💊 Basic meds & supplements (dewormer, probiotics, etc.)

And it adds up fast.

If you’ve been wanting to help but weren’t sure how — supporting us right now creates a real, immediate impact.

Every donation, no matter the size, directly supports their care and helps us continue the work we’re doing in local communities.

🐾 Rescue Update 🐾

The neighborhood still has eyes on mom, and we’re heading back out tomorrow to try and locate the last kitten’s hiding spot with hopes of safely containing the kitten + trapping mom.

🐾🐱 PORCH KITTENS UPDATE 🐱🐾

Last night did not go as planned — but that’s often how rescue goes.

We went back thinking we had a plan — and within minutes realized she had already moved them.

So we started checking yards, talking to neighbors, trying to figure out where she could have went…

…and then we found her a few houses down just laying in the middle of an alley babies in tow.

We locked eyes and everything shifted fast.

She ran into the next yard while the kittens scattered in a different direction, wedging themselves between a shed and fence in a long gap that not even my extended net could reach.

I was able to grab one before it got into the gap but the other two were completely out of reach.

We regrouped, gave them space, watched what they were doing and realized one of the kittens kept making the same exact move every time mom came back for it.

Same path. Same escape.
Mom was smart and this kitten was fast.

I tried for over an hour, by myself this wasn’t working, I couldn’t be in the yard and block the alley at the same time.

When Melissa came to give me a ride home instead of calling it, we decided to give it one more shot with two people.

She stayed in the alley. I went back into the yard.
We cut off the route — and finally got him.

Two of the three kittens were now safe 😻

They are warm, fed, loved, and being closely monitored. We appreciate those that came forward offering to foster these babies.

———

🐱 FINAL KITTEN UPDATE ⬇️

This morning I received a message from a neighbor who saw mom and the kitten back in the same yard and watched them go under a porch.

We still have a solid location and can continue trying to contain the last kitten and trap mom.

This is exactly why community eyes matter — these situations can change quickly but staying connected helps us keep up with them 🐾♥️

🐾 WHAT’S NEXT ⬇️

• Back out to contain the last kitten and trap mom (plus a few others we saw while out there 🙃)
• Continued monitoring, feeding, loving on the two now in foster care
• Preparing logistics for trapping & TNR appointments next week including mom’s

🐾 HOW YOU CAN HELP ⬇️

👀 Keep eyes on the area
If you’re local and see mom or the remaining kitten, please message me right away. Real-time sightings make all the difference in situations like this.

🚗 Transport help (upcoming)
We will need help with transport for trapping and vet appointments next week. Even being “on standby” is helpful.

🏡 Fosters
We do have placement for these babies, but we are always in need of fosters — especially as more cats/kittens come off the street.

♥️ Donations / Supplies
Rescues like this add up quickly — food, medical, supplies, and transport. If you’d like to support, it truly helps keep situations like this moving.

✨🚗 TRANSPORT HELP NEEDED 🚗✨

📍 SOUTH AMBOY

We are currently working an active rescue situation involving a very young momma cat and her 3 kittens living under a porch.

She’s only about a year old herself and already trying to keep her babies alive the best she can 🥺

We’ve learned she came from a nearby colony where she was pushed out once she became pregnant and was being beaten up by other cats — which explains why she’s so protective and keeps them tucked deep under the cement stairs where she’s created a den.

Right now, they are not reachable unless mom is safely secured first.

The kittens are at the age where they’ll soon start coming out and following her — which means their risk just increased significantly.

Cars. People. Other animals.
This is when kittens disappear 😿

Right now, we’re coordinating with neighbors to lock in a feeding schedule so we can safely trap mom without risking her relocating the babies.

Once mom is secured, I will go back under the porch with a second person to safely pull the kittens and get them into care.

We do have a potential foster lined up, but are always looking for additional fosters 🏡

🚨 HERE’S WHAT WE NEED RIGHT NOW 🚨

Thanks to South Amboy TNR, we do have transport secured for Tuesday — but I would really like to move sooner if possible.

➡️ I am looking for someone available TOMORROW who can assist with transporting mom to People for Animals in Robbinsville.

The sooner we can secure her, the quicker we can get to the kittens. If we move wrong, there is a very real risk of mom relocating them — and then we could lose them.

🚗 If you can help with transport tomorrow, please message me ASAP
🔎 If you’re local and willing to assist with kitten retrieval, let me know

We’re close on this one.
We just need the right timing — and a little help to make it happen 🙏🏻✨
