🐾✨ New Year, New Challenges for Franklyn! ✨🐾

Hey, fur-friends! 🐶💔 Our sweet boy Franklyn didn’t exactly start the new year on a high note. After waking up dragging his legs, we rushed him to the emergency vet, and boy, did we uncover a twisty tale!

Turns out, Franklyn was lost months ago, and the daughter of his original family works at the vet! How wild is that? 🐕💨 They were heartbroken to learn he’s been through so much, including a serious injury and now has intervertebral disc disease (IVDD). 😢
The family cannot afford his care and surrendered him to us.

Here’s the scoop: the surgery he needs could cost up to $10,000! 😱 We’re reaching out to specialists to get a clear picture, but we can’t do it alone. Franklyn deserves a chance to heal and live his best life!

Lexi’s story started in a gas station parking lot, where she and her nine siblings were being given away at just four weeks old. One was even handed to a 7-year-old girl — thankfully, her mom knew exactly who to call for help.
Now safe and thriving, Lexi is showing her true personality. She’s confident, sassy, and never backs down — no matter the size of her playmates. She loves her food, adores her toys, and is starting to discover how much fun the great outdoors can be.

About Colin
Colin truly lives up to his name — a spark of joy, fun, and laughter. When he first arrived, he was a bit fearful and would growl or nip out of uncertainty. Within just a day, he began to relax and show his playful, affectionate side. With continued socialization, he’s learning to trust new people and gaining confidence every day.
Colin isn’t a big fan of being picked up yet, but he’s making steady progress. He’s also working on overcoming a bit of food aggression, showing improvement with consistent training and patience.
When it comes to house training, Colin is doing great. He’s considered potty trained and uses a potty pad by the door only as a backup. He sleeps through the night without accidents and waits until morning to go outside.
Personality and Play
Colin is an easygoing, adaptable pup who matches the energy around him. He’s always ready for playtime, especially with his 36 lb puppy friend, and enjoys tug-of-war and all kinds of toys. When playtime is over, he’s just as happy to curl up for a nap or enjoy a good tummy rub.
He’s been exposed to cats and finds them fascinating but doesn’t chase them. Sparky also loves watching TV and tilts his head when spoken to, as if he’s truly listening — a sign of his intelligence and curiosity.

For those that don't me or my rescue, we are relentless when it comes to fixing the problems that exist when a dog/pup needs it.
When you find a dog as good as Franklyn, the world stops. He is such a fabulous dog. gets along with dogs, people, cats and especially adores children. He is only 3 years old.
Apparently he was owned when we pulled him from the shelter. He was lost for a month or so and no one claimed him. Come to find he is owned and his past includes previous car vs Franklyn incident. The owners wanted him back but i wanted to make sure he had the surgery. Because they could not afford the surgery, it was decided to surrender him to the rescue.
Even though funding is extremely low and credit cards at max, I made a commitment to him and thats the way it will stay.
If you can find it in your heart to donate even $1, $5 whatever, I would be forever appreciative.
He is currently comfortable with steroids and pain meds as we are looking for the best place to have his surgery.

Another vet offers rescue discount but we did not get price.
