I completed the last 50 approvals for our low-cost applications this morning. If you think you submitted one, but can’t find the approval, search your email inbox/spam/promotions for an email from [email protected]!

Also, we approve dogs and cat surgeries in six counties in Tennessee and one in Mississippi - before submitting an application, please ensure you are within our program area. If you are not, find a Tennessee program/clinic at spaytennessee.org or for Mississippi check mssni.org for your area. We do not handle the Alcorn County/Corinth, MS area.

At Spay Tennessee, we are dedicated to saving the lives of homeless pets through prevention. With spay/neuter assistance programs in almost all of our 95 counties, we strive to reduce shelter euthanasia by decreasing shelter intake.

The vet clinic that served Decatur county has been sold and renamed and stopped taking rescue/voucher surgeries for a few months. We will be working with the new owner to get our spay/neuters program back at that office once they have a chance to decide how that will be done with them. Thank you for your patience!

Hello! I wanted to provide an update to the Parsons community and surrounding areas. Animal Care Clinic was purchased on Wednesday the 26th of February by Living to Serve Veterinary Services. We are a mixed animal practice and are very excited to be back in the community to provide veterinary care and services! Please feel free to stop by the clinic during business hours to say hello! We are working hard with our veterinary clinic partners to make a difference in our region through spay/neuter - 839 surgeries completed in 2024 through six participating vets:

The Animal Doctor of Selmer (Selmer)
Animal Care Clinic (Parsons)
Animal Medical Center (Iuka)

Annual 2024 HARTT Rescue IMPACTS by the numbers!

2024 totals Spay/Neuter Program:

Community Spay/Neuters through our low-cost program: 839
(NOTE: this program uses 30% of our rescue's annual budget and does not include any rescue animals we spay/neuter prior to transport)

2024 Totals Rescue Program:

Intakes: 1012
(Breakdown: 550 Owner surrenders, 424 Transfers in from other rescues/shelters, 37 strays, etc.) BIG NOTE: Of our transfers in, 360 were from our local shelter, HCAS, last year!
10% of our intakes were adult dogs!!

Transfers out: 907 to our Michigan Humane Society partners, CAHS and HSHV
