Oxymonacanthus longirostris among acropora colonies.
these fish do NOT eat the polyps of prized Acropora, but rather, they use their straw like mouth to remove the slime from the polyps. This does bother the coral a little, but healthy coral will have no real detriment, especially when there is a myriad of coral to browse.

Lighting locked in. Halide haters never look at the high output of 6000k bulbs. Always comparing solid blue leds to very inefficient radium 20,000k bulbs. Also, leathers are not low light coral. Only low light TOLERANT. Treat them like floppy acros, and they'll thrive.

Upgrading DT, and moving coral over. These leathers are HUGE! Treat them as actual coral, and they'll grow for you too. Water quality IS important for soft coral, just as it is for SPS. They can "Tolerate" less than stellar water quality, but to truly thrive, leathers need pristine water.
