I’m Kimmie, owner of 2 Fat Heads Raw LLC, right here in Sarasota — and we’re definitely not your average pet treat company. 😂

We specialize in frozen raw food plus freeze-dried & dehydrated single-ingredient treats for dogs, cats & ferrets. No fillers. No unnecessary junk. Just real food — including some of the wonderfully weird stuff your pets absolutely lose their minds over. 🐄🐓🦆🐇🐟

I source from local Florida family farms and homesteads whenever possible, along with one processor and one fisherman. I’m also a huge believer in using the parts of the animal that would otherwise go to waste instead of throwing away perfectly good nutrition.

You’ll find everything from liver, lung & tripe to fish, rabbit, poultry, organs, heads, feet, ears, hide and some seriously unusual goodies you definitely aren’t finding in the average pet store.

Basically, it’s the kind of stuff that makes the humans stop at my table and say, “What the hell is THAT?!” 😂

Meanwhile, their dogs have already attacked my sample table, tried to sneak underneath it, and are working on their backup plan for getting more. 🤣🐾

And the three giant hooligans you’ll see in my pictures? Those are my official taste testers. They take quality control VERY seriously. 😂

They Said It Couldn’t Be Done. I Did It Myself.

Sometimes you have to share the expensive lessons of starting a business. For well over a year and a half, I paid for two major things: a completed website and business plan. Neither was delivered.

I want to be fair — I’m not perfect either. I was learning, may have misunderstood things, and sometimes may have taken longer than I should have. But when I was asked for research or materials, I provided them.

Five completed blogs sat in the shared folder for months and were never added. I was told my original website couldn’t support blogging, so I switched systems and moved 300+ products.

Then came more delays, third-party software, an unfinished business email and Shopify customizations that made the site harder for me to maintain.

I also had a potential investor, but still no business plan, so I created my own investment packet. I later paid another $400 to renew the business-plan software because it still wasn’t finished.

I opened my business in April without either major deliverable.

Now I’ve spent August repairing and rebuilding the website myself — pages, products, GA, calculators and even code.

And I’m discovering that many things I was told couldn’t be done actually could. Even the font Shopify supposedly couldn’t support? I found it, installed it and changed it myself.

After all of this, I was told they had gone “above and beyond” and I should be thankful.

I am thankful — for the lesson.

If you’re building a business: vet who you hire and get deliverables and deadlines in writing.
Still a work in progress — but finally
